"Very limited third-party support for the second display"

This is reason why people shouldn't buy any new concept devices like this or foldables with android. Your apps will never going to support these new ways to use these devices. Android was already very fragmented before and now when OEMs releasing these experimental devices developers have very difficult to follow all these and even one would be too much.

What people want, they fail to deliver
No high refresh rate here, same with the velvet
LG is also no longer available in a lot of countries, so lack of sales is expected

Don't expect it to cost the same as a regular phone unless foldables become the norm.

        Nice!

Jojo, 12 Oct 2020Looks pretty good. The 2 problems are the high price. It sh... moreDon't expect rollable and slideout phones to come anytime soon. We definitely won't be seeing that around the corner. Heck, LG even announced a rollable screen phone before but we see nothing about it after the announcement.

The high price is due to the mechanism of the phone. Just because it has an upper midrange chipset doesn't mean it needs to cost the same as an upper midrange smartphone. This is not a generic design smartphone for crying out loud.

HJL2230, 12 Oct 2020I would really consider a second generation of this phone, ... moreIt's funny you mention the G8's gimmicky Z Camera. It's back on the V60 ThinQ 5G's rear camera.

I'm definitely impressed with the photo quality. It's nearly on the same level as the Sony Xperia 1 ii and 5 ii in Auto mode, but I definitely see no oversharpening nonsense here and that is a good thing for me. But what I really cannot understand is why smartphone brands always upscale a zoomed photo to a higher resolution. I just don't really see the whole point of doing that.

The built-in dual video recording feature is a gem, really haven't seen that for a while since HMD Nokia's Bothie mode. But my absolute favourite is the gimbal mode - definitely a super useful feature for mobile vlogging. At this point, I don't even know if I want to buy a real gimbal in the first place if I buy the Wing 5G.

It really is refreshing to see someone like LG didn't follow the trend and be their own. That really shows LG's identity and I really love that.

If LG will add a stylus for the 2nd gen and improve the app support then i think this series will be a worthy competitor for all foldable phones

I love this phone!! GIMBAL in LG Wing is better than Vivo X50.

I would really consider a second generation of this phone, with a refined hardware and better app support than now, but knowing this is LG, this probably will be like a one off thing like the G5's modular design or the G8's gimmicky Z camera.

                        It is very complex.
Being SD765 does not mean it needs to cost $500-700.

I would buy this over Velvet.
                          Velvet is very ugly.

Looks pretty good. The 2 problems are the high price. It should be about $600, not $1000. And the short shelf life. In that rollable and slideout phones are coming next year with bigger expandable screens and better form factors. So pass.
