I used to have Samsung before but when I tried the motorola and found out that the configuration is better than any phones that I had before. So sweetened to have my G7. Cheers Moto.

For some reason they chose to leave out the tof laser sensor in this model. The g9 may have a 64mp camera but has problems focusing because of this.

Jasper5774, 17 Oct 2020What we want from motorola
- solid software support for 2... moreMotorola always provide one OS upgrade and that's fine. Exceptions are Android One phones, and few others like my Z2 Play. Also, we see how many times new OS upgrades broke phones so what is better - just one proper OS upgrade, or two but broken one?
Software support is generally overrated because of marketing and it created false expectations among consumers. So, Motorola mostly release phones with a proper software (and no ads), and they overall work fine. Some other manufacturers release semi-finished software but customers get fooled how they constantly get "new" updates. No, you don't, you are just getting what you should get in the first place, and often they never get proper software at all.
Why users need new software if everything works fine? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Phone has water repellent design.
No FM radio.
4G: LTE-band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/38/40/41/66
IPS LCD is actually great - pretty accurate sRGB calibration (confirmed in other reviews, too).
SAR EU values:
Head SAR 0,76 W/kg
Body-worn SAR 1,49 W/kg
Overall, if you want very large and good screen, great autonomy, pure Android without ads, good midrange SoC, and good camera performance - there you go.

I have the G8 plus and I'm still waiting for the software to be updated from Android 9! For this reason I'm no longer buying Moto phones. I have been a fan since the G3 handset and each iteration consumers are waiting longer and longer for the software update. Really poor of Moto...

Ik bought the G9 plus for €270, but returned it after 2 days. Terrible phone! Bought the Mi 10 lite for €279 and i love it. Camera is much better, the software smoother and overall speed of the phone is better.

I would love if Motorola could make a smaller phone: let's say 5.7 inches screen? There's still room for a big battery, but at least one pocketable option in lineup would be appreciated...
