A shame to Oneplus when a Samsung can be used as price competitor and even lost the spec fight.
The lack of waterproof rating, old camera sensor, and higher price are disappointment.

      This also makes the display on the OnePlus 8T seem just a tad larger than the one on the OnePlus 8T, even though they have the same surface area.

      So now there's 2 version of 1+ 8T??

          Same old IMX 586 for camera for two years in a row.
          I know they have made improvements in software processing and pics from the OnePlus 8 are definitely better than OnePlus 7t, but they could have Atleast put the IMX 686 inside as even 250€ phones are sporting the IMX 682/686.

          At the end of the day, The OnePlus 8 pro remains the Pro.

              Too Heavy
              Mediocre 1080 x 2400 Display
              No 3.5mm Jack

              In my opinion, it is failed product. I don't see any reason to buy it and waste my money.

                There’s a certain iosneveragain nuisance on this site always recommending this one plus over the iPhone 12, when the one plus can not even come close to iPhones in the single aspect people love iPhones for, the camera, just read up what GSMA has to say about it, this is embarrassing

Also, glass is not needed for wireless charging, my old Nexus 5 will attest to that. Just some info to chew over.

                                  In Europe, the SD 865 S20 FE costs €100 more which gets you better overall cameras and wireless charging. On the other hand, the 8T has a better build and a much higher charging speed and it also comes with a great charging brick in the box unlike Samsung's 15W one. You win some, you lose some for that €100 premium.

                                      I definitely prefer the oneplus 8 over the T varient.not worth the upgrade,my opinion

                                        One thing many reviews forego, is that this is not a global 5G phone. I.E. the EU version will not be able to use 5G in the USA and vice versa.

                                        OP also ditches their exellent phone app and, with it, the flawlessly working call recorder.
                                        Everything considered, I think the Pixel 5 is the better deal this time (holding out for the review). I also feel better having bought a 7T now:-)
