Eeveryone gangsta in camera section until Huawei releases it's flagship phone, and then haters be like, reviews are fake, iPhone will has best camera. Smh.

Too big 6.67 inches screen. It's not really comfortable.You forget to mention it has 88 0/0 curvature which could accidently lead drops easily.Altough Huawei mentioned in the event that it is smaller than iPhone 12 but I don't think so.

This phone has 2 main drawbacks: the phone is too long (155...158mm is critical measure for ease of use) , and the screen is too aggressively rounded. Shame...

On the other hand it is true, it misses many apps that is way too important in the western markets and even if someone hacks GMS the phone it will not work fully (eg. Payment and mobile bank cards).
That is the reason why I will also skip this phone... Although hardwarewise it is awesome. :/

As 3 party store don't have root permission, they cannot automate the update and install process. Petal search, don't know what fancy crap has Huawei made on the name again, but, no different on any other search. You try to explain non tech and senor citizen all that.
Don't kid yourself bro, just because you under stand tech and/or smartphone it doesn't justify the mass should be on the same level as you. The world isn't communist and sure hell ain't fly around you.

These phones cos $350 WITH all COSTS . not only manufacture cost.
Similar hardware of Snapdragon 865 Phone can be found for example in the quest 2 VR set and they are selling it for $300 AFTER PROFIT.
The POCO Phone has snapdragon 865 and is sold for $400 AFTER PROFIT
This includes Marketing and all other costs you mentioned .
Whats left ? better screen ? better camera ? wont be more than 100 more dollars for manufacturing costs.
I know the Economics of Mobile phones very well and I know they ar overpriced.
More over , Remember that Huwawei are using in house CPU ... this also reduce the price of their CPU by HALF .. because when you buy your CPU from snapdragon for example , they need to profit from it.

The edge hiding feature is probably the most amazing part. I wish other phones had this option. Having videos wrap around the edges is so frustrating sometimes.

Given the huge difference between normal and performance mode, you should run the battery test in performance mode as well.

by the way there are a lot of other costs (rather than the "unit production cost") that must be included in the final MSRP:
* marketing cost
* warehouse/distribution costs
* indirect sales costs
* local/foreign taxes
so when you say that this "almost perfect piece of hardware" can be selled at $700 price range tells me you don't know too much about economics...

Huawei has its own Appgallery and whatever you can't there you can search for it with Petal search. It'll find your app and install it. You can also install other appstores if you wish. Maybe you think that's too hard but it's on about the same level as using the Playstore.

1. You obviously live in China to be able to live without it;
2. You such a fanboy that you can ignore and sideline the fact that it is inconvenient for a Android phone without Playstore and contempt with side-load or 3rd party store that still have outdated unreliable updating mechanism.
Either way, you no better than the so called US government believer, but a Chinese one... How is that better? It just the same, different side of the compass.

But you obviously, like GSMArena, trying to avoid the fact that out of the box, the default store is near non-usable for the western market. Yes, it the app and easy of access to the apps I'm talking about, if you cannot comprehend from my list of point.
You try and let your parent or grandparent buy a Huawei, and explain them over the phone, they need to install 3rd party store or side-load simple daily use apps to keep in contract with rest of the family such as Whatsapp or facebook. Not to mention most 3rd party store mechanism of software update is no way near convenient as the default store.
