IpsDisplay, 27 Oct 2020I am honestly annoyed by being told over and over agai... moreI don't agree. OLED displays are just superb, I returned my iphone 11 because of the crap display.LED is OK for monitors where you have a lot of static image, nothing else.

Install Gcam, and it is a perfect flagship level camera performance. Apart from 60 hrtz display, though i am happy with that compared to a high refresh rate LCD display, this phone is a superb performer.

How about installing gcam? I'm running 7.3.20 gcam apk version 2.3 and the pictures are excellent. We all now the gcam has superior software. So, most that are concerned with photography will know this and download the apk. I have a Samsung S10, iphone 11pro, and Google pixel 4. When I want a good shooter to have in my pocket I grab the F2 pro first. Do a review on this phone with gcam installed. I'm positive you will rethink your review.

I ordered this after found out that finally some custom roms released for this one. that means it can have extended software support from developers.
Also I did a lot of comparison. A lot. If you want phone without the hole in the screen aka notch design. This is pretty much the best option. I got this for the price of ~350euros from China. With that price you cannot compete considering the specs. Sure they included that camera not the best but import latest gcam and it will be good enough.
My other options were, oneplus nord. it was basically cpu vs 90hz screen with a notch. No notch better snapdragon won there. I also looked for couple of other cheaper options, xiaomi note 9S and xiaomi mi 10 lite. both a little cheaper but price per specs poco f2 pro comes ahead. I did look at samsung as well, FE edition was pretty interesting, but it's cheapest around 600euros. almost double the price, so while it's good compared to most, still it's not a competition with this one.
if prices were same, might go samsung. But xiaomi just offers so much more with such low price. Cant understand how people are willing to pay so much for flagships when there are phones like this. all in one and decent price.
my previous phone also from xiaomi btw, used mi max 2 for couple of year. got for 150euros. So I'm basically going more than 2x the price of my previous phone. Feels like buying flagship.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Guys I am looking to buy a new phone for my wife. Earlier ... moreThere's S20 FE/S20+ (4G variant and if the price drops), iPhone 12 mini, Mi 10T/Pro, Mi 10, OnePlus 8T, Poco F2 Pro, Realme X50 Pro. All of these use flagship chipsets and are pretty good phones overall. Plus they all cost 800 euro and below.

The smoothness you mention is mostly due to pretty slow animations. I downloaded Nova launcher, set its animations to "faster than light" and DAMN!!!! IT CAN FLY!!! Also, if you install google discover extension to it, it also feels miles better than Google discover on Poco launcher.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Guys I am looking to buy a new phone for my wife.
Earlier ... moreHow much does the MI 10T Pro cost in your country?
It's certainly better than the Poco F2 pro and is pretty cheap too.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Guys I am looking to buy a new phone for my wife.
Earlier ... moreMi 10 ultra is a great choice.
It should be available under 800 Euros over there in Europe.
But it does lack Ip certification.
So if your wife can live with that, it's a no Brainer.

Android.Master, 28 Oct 2020Go for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
Even if it comes with E... moreYeah the FE seems like a great option.
But it's not the best looking device nor does it have insane fast charging speeds like Chinese brands.
There's a a 100 Euro difference between 4g and 5g variant here.
So Snapdragon should be the automatic choice.
If I choose to import it from US, it will cost me the same price as the 4g Exynos variant.

Android Authority, 28 Oct 2020Guys I am looking to buy a new phone for my wife.
Earlier ... moreGo for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
Even if it comes with Exynos, it's a good deal as I am pretty sure your wife won't notice a difference unless she is a hardcore gamer.
I don't know what it costs in your country but it seems like the best budget flagship this year as it ticks all boxes.

Guys I am looking to buy a new phone for my wife.
Earlier I was going to buy the Poco F2 pro for her as it was the best budget flasghip of the year.
But now with new entrants in the market, I am confused.
There are so many options to choose from.
Maximum budget is 800 Euros. Don't want to pay more than that.
1000 Euros and above flasghips are out of the question as that would be unnecessary expenditure.
Plz suggest some options... Wouldn't mind importing a phone either if it's a good deal.

Your garbage iOS feels laggy and slow compared to every Android in 2020.

I bought the 6GB variant at USD362 about a month ago. I think it was a good deal. I still use headphone jack and IR blaster is handy to have. I chose F2 Pro to get the full screen amoled experience coming from Redmi Note 4. I don't use selfie camera much except for video calls so its fine. To me F2 Pro is value for money for those who seek the latest chipset and flat full screen amoled display. It is fast and battery life is really good. With these specs, it is also good for mobile gaming. I'm hoping to use it for at least 3-4 years or until it breaks. After 3-4 years, my next phone would probably be a phone with an under display camera because I want to maintain the full screen experience. Hoping they could reduce the side bezels and remove the chin by then.

I'm very happy with this phone. Throw in the GCam and I can achieve beautiful low light photos just like a Pixel.

No other phone can beat this beast even xiaomi's new release as of today. It makes other brands ridiculously overpriced.
