Having the ip11 for almost 12 mths went and checked out the 12 in the flesh yesterday.. so overrated/ overpriced.. nothing made me go yeah I need this.. not sold on the design, the screen no better than the X.. don’t get the amazing reviews online at all unless your super into video making perhaps.. having a look around at some android phones at nearly half the rrp of the 12 had me more impressed and even trying these budget android phones really made me realise how slow the iPhones still are.. I love my iPhone11 but never been more tempted on heading back to android.. apple really are taking the p1ss

I respect the GSMArena reviews, but in this case, I find it strange that the grass and foliage are called out, while the much worse rendition of those by the flagship Xiaomis and even the latest Huawei Mate 40 Pro are not even mentioned in the reviews.
Take a look at the grass and shrubbery in the "snail" sample shots. The iPhone feathers detail slightly, but it's much more realistic than Xiaomi and Huawei, both of which don't have the detail, despite the higher resolution. Look for example at the clover-like clump under the snail, on the right.
The iPhone's color is much better balanced too. You can see the different hues of green and yellows reflective of the different shades of grass and how the light hits it, while Huawei looks like it's spraypainted uniformly and everything is the same shade of fake green, and Xiaomi has crazy electric greens that make your eyes bleed. Huawei's AI even colors the small bald ground patches the same uniform green, while they are clearly visible in the iPhone shots, although they are also larger there.
Overall, I'd say Google renders grass and foliage the best, closely followed by Apple, and Huawei and Xiaomi are way back.

Apple is afraid to make them strong afraid that they might not break faster for people to want another new iPhone haha. Just check the battery capacity the one thing unsuspecting customers think their phone has seen it good day when it cannot hold charge for a day.

Web browsing: IPhone 12 = 12hr 33 min; Galaxy S20 = 12hr 12 min.
YouTube playback: IPhone 12 = 6hr 38 min; Galaxy S20 = 10hr 20 min.
3d gaming: IPhone 12 = 3hr 1 min; Galaxy S20 = 7hr 43 min.
How is it worse battery life?
And don't forget, S20 is pushing higher QHD+ resolution and at 1080p+ it has 120hz refresh rate.The S20 FE 5g is even better than the original S20 in battery life.

Don't make this about Android and iOS based on my username, I am simply judging the phone against its competitors which are ahead in battery department.

new dress on same skeleton. Well this 12 series updated 5s 5 versions. by 2020 standard and dont know but I dont like it. Because when you hold feel somehow back to future not for real future. apple play smart game and make money. But still hope some users someday will open eyes and will understand that there is options in life.

If other phones are lasting 7hrs with standard mixed usage, this one gets emptied in 4hr.
If other phones give 6hr gaming, this one gives 3hr.
Learn what Gsmarena endurance rating is.
No matter how much you try to justify it or give perspective like the other guy, this is bad battery life according to 2020 flagship standards. I am not even adding the slow charging speeds or the non bundled charger. It's just bad no matter which way you look at it.
Other phones only have slightly bigger screen and are priced the same.
So it's a fair comparison.
The mini is the outlier as far as compact devices, not the iPhone 12.
