This phone needs some tweaks and fine tuning in settings (general and application wise) before one can achieve its true potential. After that, its battery manages to survive 3-day heavy use and its camera delivers more acceptable photos with reduced noise. Hope, future updates will reveal its hidden potential.

This phone makes way more sense than something like Nord. Lol why are companies marketing 5G as a big feature in countries that don't even have a 5g tower? Go Samsung!

I won't mind the hefty weight and bigger dimensions if the battery capacity is huge,nevertheless it would have been sweet if it went for a 6.4 inch screen.All the other specs are sweet !

Comp... moreAs someone mentioned before chinese phone kill multitasking in favour of better batterylife, good for average joe but bad for power users.
If they kill tabs browsing in chinese phones would take less power.
Look at other aspect like video and call time, Samsung has close to 100% over poco x3 n those test

Essen, 12 Dec 2020I actually like the side FPS. I think it's the best lo... moreI'm typing this on an A70 that I got last year. This is essentially an A70 with a side-mounted fingerprint reader (which I'd prefer over the shaky in-display one on the A70) and a beefy battery.
I'd want more power if I were buying new now (the A70 already struggles with one of my favourite games), but I have family whose "power" demands are only of the Moto G Power variety, one of whom even has a partner toting one of those phones. I'd recommend this phone to them in a flash - enough performance to handle regular use for the life of a contract, and the ability to go plenty of time without a charge. And considering we're British, there's enough geopolitical uncertainty for us here that "not a Chinese brand" is a legit selling point just out of caution - it's why I got my A70 (during the re-election campaign for our current right-wing government).
You can get better performance for less going Chinese, but this phone actually has tangible user experience benefits from the battery and the lack of camera bump above and beyond the disputable benefit of avoiding China phones. This phone should definitely be a hit.

It is surprising that no word about the performance of the phone. I bought the m51 about a month back. I feel that its wifi and Hotspot little weak. When I put on the wifi it doesn't show any active networks like the other phones in my house. When my tab is connected to m51 through its Hotspot, it hangs. My old phone Lenovo k3 note used to be better, I used to connect it to my HD TV to watch Netflix etc. In this case it's doubtful.

I got this as main priority was nonchinese... i like it so far(3 months) but real value for money is shown after 1 year so lets see.

Strawhat, 12 Dec 2020Usually china software focus to battery life and multitaski... moreAs a ex-user of Xiaomi I approve this comment.Back when I use Redmi 5,MIUI always restricted app from running in background which always annoyed me especially when downloading huge game or movies.But on the other hand it does benefit me when I accidentally slept over with my phone on (using data) and when I woke up,the battery only decreased like 4-6 % but all apps are closed forcefully.

Such as RN9Pro (6gb ram) I often encounter download paused after screen turn off, delayed notification (rare occasion), reloaded app even though 6gb of ram. Too many battery optimisation that lead to ruined multitask.

Honestly battery life on this is bad in my opinion
Compared to phones like the motor g9 plus and poco x3 nfc
These phones have almost 50% less capacity and they are close in endurance the m51 isn't even 30% better than them
Just read their hours web browsing and compare for yourself
Samsung just aren't well optimised battery wise if you ask me
