Anonymous, 09 Feb 2021Good review. This happens to be my favourite Pixel phone an... moreyou know 12 mini is 5.4 inches, pixel 5 is 6inches and S20 FE is 6.5 inches, so you cant compare them for their size...also good luck waiting for fix on touch screen on S20 FE :D

Good review. This happens to be my favourite Pixel phone and the only one I'd consider buying. It marries a modern design, good battery life and good performance chipset. I'd buy this over the iPhone 12 mini but maybe not the Galaxy S20 FE. The iPhone 12 mini is a bit of joke with the too small battery and display. The Galaxy S20 FE is just better in too many areas. Still, I appreciate what Google is doing improving their phones.

Snapdragon 765 being worse than 845 from 2 generations ago is enough to prove how bad this phone is... especially for the exorbitant price.

I'm one of those guys who owns OnePlus 3T. I used to believe, Oxygen OS was merely enough for me, as it was very close to stock. I used to run Redmis with custom ROMs, and like almost everyone else, notices how big differences between custom well build ROM against stock, heavily skinned ROM. But I gave OnePlus 3T chances as I thought, it was already close to stock, what's the difference if I installed custom ROMs on it? So for years, I kept the Oxygen OS until the final 9.0.6 firmware arrived. After that all I did was just swapping between custom kernels only, but I still kept the stock Oxygen OS. After almost 6 months without any security updates, I finally gave up, and switch right to most customizable, well build custom ROMs available that time, Msm Extended. And how I noticed how big the differences with Oxygen OS with custom kernels - despite Oxygen OS is almost close to stock, the custom ROMs (with gapps) still offer huge differences - it was way smoother, less lagging, blazing fast, rather than Oxygen OS. So after that, I always resort to use as fast as possible the most stable, custom ROMs that is available to any phone that I owns, regardless maybe I lost one feature or two of the stock, but the stability and blazing fast of well build custom ROMs, is never been rivalled by the stock. Most of the problem with custom ROMs are related to wifi display, Bluetooth, GPS, camera, and device specific features - for instance, OnePlus profile slider, or Samsung Bixby button. Other than that, well it's up to you to compromise whether the advantages outweighs the disadvantages.
