which is better? x3 pro or redmi note 10 pro? i don't play much or any games on my phone, all i care is that the screen has to be bright enough in direct sunlight, great battery life for everyday crap and good enough rear camera in low light (inside).

Kemizee, 23 Mar 2021Let's be honest, the only area this beats the Poco X3 ... more1. Most of the component present in X3 NFC should also be present in x3 pro; why? Because fitting other component is a herculean work, it also require changing driver supporting that hardware, and it's a PitA work (why do u think flashing wrong ROM could brick Android? mainly because the driver doesn't recognize the hardware in the device!).
I bet the downgrade of x3 pro is because they don't want the 'pro' to cannibalize' the NFC; every x3 NFC users know that how ill-suited SD732G is when combined with 120Hz display.
2. if u think the SoC difference between Flagship (SD8xx) & hi-mid (SD7xx) is small, negligible, based on the 'X3 NFC is better in battery endurance' BS u r spewing, U R DEAD WRONG!
Since SD835 era, Qualcomm's SoC are actually capable of running Windows on ARM, which means, it's already powerful since 2017. With SD855, the SoC not only got better CPU, the GPU are also getting better with the introduction of Adreno 6xx in 2018; not to mention better DSP which means better image output when taking photo, better ISP which also contribute in better photography, better LPDDR4X (in SD7xx only support up to 2 channel 16-bit with low frequency 1866MHz, compared to 4 channel 16-bit 2133MHz, which resulted in better execution when launching apps), superior modem compared to mid-range SoC (SD7xx had x15 which only support LTE Cat.15 (download), while SD860, unlike SD855, had internal LTE modem X24 which support LTE Cat.20 (download) which support external 5G modem, and lastly, support UFS 3.0, unlike x3 NFC which STILL use eMMC, which makes the performance in everything inside the 'pro' MUCH, MUCH better than the 'NFC' ones.
2. Flagship CPU consisted of 4 High-performance cores & 4 low-performance cores.
in ALL SD 67x & SD7xx, the CPU consisted of 2 High-performance cores (but under-clocked) & 6 low-performance cores (also lower-clocked compared to how QC clocked the flagship CPU).
The combination of 6 low-performance cores + lower-clock, combined with how the '2 High-performance cores' set to rarely running (mostly sleeping, ONLY RUNNING DURING GEEKBENCH & ANTUTU), resulted in your so-called 'more energy efficient', while in reality, u r cheated BIG TIME (SD7xx are expensive shit, that's why many OEM resorted to use SD660/662/665 for cheap mid-range).
Trivia: buying SD660-powered Android is wiser because it has 80% SD835 CPU power, while still retain the LAST powerful GPU in SD6xx family (Adreno 512 is capable of playing games up to 2K/QHD, while SD662/665/670/675/678/690 are capped @ 1K/FHD).
So, ANYONE who STILL think that SD7xx (especially 732G) is 'better' than SD8xx is intellectually challenged; there's a GOOD reason why SD7xx is 'more energy efficient'; because IN REALITY, u pay HIGH for CHEAP SoC which practically non-functioning High-performance cores (only for benchmark).
In the end, u actually better buy SD630 if u want 'mid-range phone with energy efficient in mind'

Gaming is not essential part of t... moreI would agree with you, were it not literally a budget gaming smartphone that we're talking about. The only reason they went with a rebadged SD 855+ is because of the much better GPU. So yeah, kinda odd that a gaming-focused smartphone doesn't get gaming tests, just like it would be weird for a Huawei Mate to not have a camera test.
As for the phone: it's really looking good. If for some reason I wanted to play Genshin on a phone, I'd consider it. But I wouldn't buy it as a main phone, I wouldn't want to essentialy fry the battery of my main communication device in gaming. But I guess it's good if you can't afford a computer and still want to game.

Has anybody wondered if it's possible to swap the camera module from the old x3 nfc to this new pro version?
Physically should be 100% compatible.
If we getting really wild then the camera from the note 10 pro would be even better.

If they had used an Amoled display for this model, you will still have people complain abt IP68 rating and why didn't they make the battery as big as the one in Galaxy M51? Smh

Is it worth upgrading from the Poco X3 nfc to the pro?
It seems like the only area the pro version is better is the chip, and the nfc's performance is more than good enough!

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2021Every company wants to make profits so when a company uses ... moreYou don't compare their phones to their higher end models. You compare it against other companies of similar calibre and then accept what they have to offer and what you can sacrifice for it for that price point. The new Samsung A52 seems to be not bad but it's like double the price of this phone with only a few things better.

DroidBoye, 23 Mar 2021I hope that you do know how profit margins in businesses work. Fact is, most poco-like phones are crippled in many aspects and many phones with slower SoCs are much better in these aspects. Screens, speakers, cameras, IP ratings, you name it.
