Unfortunately it seems that gsmarena ratings do not hold up. How does this phone get a higher rating than any s21 and s21 plus is beyond me. Terrible launch from one plus and I see a 4.3 and 4.4. I'm a bit tired of seeing this bias against samsung. I'm not a samsung fan but at least for now they don't have any competitor in the android camp.

Looks like the same thing for all phones with SD 888 - poor stand-by time which affects all the users of these phone irrespective of how they use their devices. If, for examle, poor gaming perfomance doesn't affect people who don't play games on phone, poor stand-by affects everyone. Especially those who don't use their phone a lot hoping to get long battery life.

I guess its the right time to get op8pro or 8t at a discounted price

I don't get why the dimensions of OP9 are different for (India/China) vs that for (EU/NA)????

I can see people saving around 200€ and buy this instead of the 9 pro, as this isn't a total downgrade camerawise like last year.

Racer11, 23 Mar 2021Most expensive phone withou OIS. LMAOThat title belongs to the ROG 5 and Mate 40 Pro.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2021Phones like this are just a loss leader to sell the Pro version. True! Great marketing strategy & they price it $100 less than the pro model to force you to spend a little more for the pro model with aluminum frame than this plastic garbage not worth that price.

I've used oneplus 6T and 7T, both are pretty solid all-arounders. It's a shame that they removed OIS in this one, and it's a hard pass for me.

My phone had an issue after a few months and they picked it up with courier service , fixed it and shipped it back all free. Try that with Xiaomi.....

Hello to the editor of this review.

You said in the review "The main wide camera on the OnePlus 9 is the same Sony IMX689 borrowed from the OnePlus 8 Pro. It has a 48-megapixel resolution, 23mm equivalent lens with an f1.8 aperture, and OIS."

After that you also said ...."Unlike the OnePlus 9 Pro or even the OnePlus 8T, the OnePlus 9 does not have OIS. This means all stabilization for photos and videos is done digitally."

Question: OP9 does it have the same the same IMX689 sensor from OP8Pro which had OIS for sure or is it IMX689 sensor, but without OIS, because from what you wrote in the article it is unclear if it has or not OIS.
                                Thank you.

LukKook, 23 Mar 2021Totally outrageous that for that high price we get no OIS, ... morePhones like this are just a loss leader to sell the Pro version.

Initial reviews not impressed. I have option to buy iphone 11 or iphone 12 at same price. The thing in iphone quality wont be compromised whether it build quality or display quality or software updates or camera or battery or performance. iphone is really great phone. My usual phones are from samsung and pretty bored with samsung because all phones lag after sometime, almost all of my samsung power button broken automatically overtime, even paint job is gone with samsung. iPhone is intact still stellar. I even have ipod of 2008 which still working. So yes, if we want quality for the price we pay, iPhone is the option. My second option was huawei with leica but no google play support is problem. I have huge expectation of one plus 9 but...

If you have your eyes set on a BBK flagship, consider one of the Vivo X60 models or just go with a Find X3 or X3 Pro.
Mi 11 comes to mind too, with the ROG 5 coming in close,
