The use of the colored (cyan) multi purpose button and size, here, makes me think this is a shot at Google, to say, hey, we can use your Pixel 4a model as a blueprint, and make a superior device.

    I prefer to pay an extra EUR 100 for wireless charging

        love the battery comparison bars!

          First, i dont know why they call this the Zenfone 8 and the other one Zenfone 8 flip. The zenfone 7 is called zenfone 7 even if it has a flipping camera, so it would have made sense to call the zenfone 8 flip as Zenfone 8 and call this one differently.

          Second, the design is just uninspired.

          Third, Asus should be marketing their products and make it available in more places.

              Everybody is talking about the headphone jack, or the specs.

              But there is one thing I really find amazing on this phone. And that's the notification LED inside the bottom frame. Seriously, how didn't any of major smartphone makers think of this? Its so simple.

              They kept saying it was not doable because of all screen displays and no more bezels. But the bottom frame is just free real estate and it does not compromise the integrity of the frame.

                Would be perfect if it had traditional (or old-fashioned) rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. I just hate those under-screen scanners because they are so unreliable and slow comparing to the rear-mounted ones. And they lack gestures, like swipe down to open notifications.

                      the thing is ive been using a 1 tb sd card for a year now and i just simply cant dump it..... i need a phone with SD card thats it. no issues with this phone, its epic when compared to sony, apple, pixel and samsung compacts. this could have been my first asus phone despite the fact that i hate chinese phones!!!

                        I almost decided to buy the phone and replace the RoG Phone II but when I check the speakers, Zenfone 8 is only rated Good while RoG Phone II is Excellent. I only rather buy a phone that is a jack of all trades, master of a few traits I prefer. Still, RoG Phone II is an excellent phone that I can't see myself replacing to another phone this year, and I'm a firm follower of Two Year Planned Obsolescence.

                          They left no stone unturned, love it already

                            why not put Pixel 5 in alternatives? it's also compact phone with great camera and 4000 mAh battery (unlike pixel 4A which is even better bargain)

                              I personally love these small display sized phones and this phone looks like beautifully crafted as well. Let us hope Asus launches it in India around 30 - 35 k
