And no, I am not a Sony hater. I had Xperia Tipo, now i use XA2. Wanted another Sony, but this is not the right choice, and I switch to Samsung.

I enjoyed my Xperia X Compact, but I'll gladly avoid any new Sony device. Not a fan of their bloatware and update policy.

Not a Sony' fan' here, btw. Still Symbian and real Nokia fan (808 is my precious. :-) ). But if I am about to buy new phone powered by Spygle, i would consider Sony for sure.
Btw, about being buggy. Had a XZ3 for couple of months. Didn't encounter not a single Sony related bug. There were some Google-related, sure.

And maybe stop mentioning "problems" only on threads which dont have anything to do with that model. That would really help dont you think? Btw thank you for your "opinion" but I desagree. Peace!

At first glance, this phone doesn't look like a good choice, considering the subpar SoC. But currently it's the cheapest phone available which gets you the following:
                  - notchless display
                  - expandable storage
                  - 3.5 mm audio jack
                  - NFC
                  - 5G connectivity
And that's it. Doesn't seem like much, but you won't find a cheaper device with all of the above. And then this Xperia still has some additional nice touches here and there, such as the IP rating, Gorilla Glass 6, USB 3.1 and good battery life.
And if it gets included in Sony's Open Devices project (as was the case with the 10 and 10 II models) then it's going to become even better.
So far I can only see a couple of downsides to this phone:
                  - lack of a gyroscope sensor (or its presence is unclear)
                  - single loudspeaker setup
                  - the risk of getting your DRM keys irreversibly wiped when unlocking the bootloader, as was the case with Sony phones in the past

This is coming from someone who has never owned or used a Sony phone in the past, so I'm not a fanboy by any means, just sharing my honest thoughts. I think I'll bit the bullet on this one, for the lack of a better choice.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2021But you're not using a wire. You're transferring ... moreYou don't have to do such a lengthy way. You can just directly transfer files from the phone to a laptop via the USB cable. It really couldn't get any much easier than that.

If Sony does close down which is very unlikely. So say the haters from the last 10 years! I will never touch Apple, Samsung or Chinese brands. I will probably get Panasonic or maybe Nokia!

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2021What exactly did you scratch or dent?I used a Samsung and IPhone and they get slow and laggy overtime. The screen quality drops, the phone heats up. So never again!

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2021if i say that the poco f3 is an overall better recommendati... moreI hope you don't confuse this for an attack, but here's why, personally i think, despite the price tag, the 10 III is easily a better device than the Poco F3 for most willing customers:

-Display: the pixel density on the 10 III is well above what the F3 offers, and the 10 III also supports 10-bit color.
-Battery: the F3 supports up to 33W charging, while the 10 III supports uo to 30W charging. not much of a difference there. However, the name of the game here is longevity—Sony is known for their battery maintenance technologies, which not only will guarantee the phone will last more on a charge, but will significantly better preserve the health and quality of your device's battery over the years. And what's makes this feature fair for comparison is that the two devices enjoy more or less the same battery capacity.
-Cameras: if it's computational photography you're into, then neither of these devices is for you. However, the 10 III boasts significantly better camera hardware. Not only do you get a telephoto camera, but you also have consistent quality, and Sony's reliable image processing tech, running across all three sensors. Don't let the higher resolution of the Poco F3's 48MP main sensor throw you off, as higher resolution means absolutely nothing if not supported well by the rest of the bundle, if anything, it means inferior low-light performance if not handled well. I haven't checked, but the 48MP sensor is more tyan likely a Sony sensor, as are most 20/48/50/64MP sensors you'll see on the back of smartphones these days. Sony can, but Sony won't, because resolution is far from the priority when it comes to producing a quality image, and the Camera giant knows what actually is.

More features which require no real explanation:
                                -3.5mm headphone jack
-Gorilla Glass 6 sandwich as opposed to the F3' s Gorilla glass 5.
                                - IP68 water/dust resistance as opposed to the F3's IP53.
-It is a smaller device so it is significantly more pocketable.
-expandable storage / microSDXC support (up to 1TB).

on the opposing end, the F3 gets a faster chipset, and a 120Hz refresh rate, both of which will undoubtedly drain the battery faster.

As it is, the 10 III offers a hell of a lot more. So of course, the F3 is cheaper than the 10 III, because less costs less.

Plus, for those like me, who don't really care for the higher refresh, and who don't see the point of a faster chipset if the phone responds just fast enough, the F3 offers nothing of real value, it's just another okay-ish smartphone.

Bonus point: this is subjective, but the 10III looks better
                                :3

I have multiple experiences transferring files wirelessly from the phone and it's far from great.
