Sony does not have to be afraid about ending like LG or other now dead brands. It's fans are absolutely blind and will buy whatever Sony produces, no matter how bad it is. Well I like Sony too, but no, not that much I would not see this phone is a mistake.

Cutting through all the nonsense here, this is an expensive SD690 phone.
If you like Sony's "thing" I guess you'll be willing to buy this.
I tried to like them using both an Xperia 5 and a 1ii and found Sony phones to be scratch prone and buggy. I probably wouldn't buy another one given my experiences, and would not recommend them to others.

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2021Can I ask why you prefer 60, though? You don't care ab... moreYou are right about it. I don't see any notable difference using both 60Hz and 120Hz when scrolling through news articles and social media feeds. Also, 60Hz uses way less battery than 120Hz. Read any GSMArena review and you can easily understand my point. Take the case of Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G - when GSMArena reviewed it, they managed to get an extra 10 hours of battery endurance rating in QHD+/60Hz compared to FHD+/120Hz. That is why I only use 120Hz for mobile gaming and stick to 60Hz for the rest of the day.

I think this phone probably ticks most of the boxes for a mid range phone, solid build, solid performance, no notch, and fairly compact. People buying this might also be Sony fans who like the design but don't need to have the best specs for everyday use. All that stuff about screen refresh rates is really not something that's going to upset the average buyer. I bought the 10 mk2 and extremely satisfied with it. A minor gripe is the lack of stereo speakers on both the mk2 and mk3 but I can live with that. A shutter button would be nice to have and the price could be a bit cheaper but as the cheapest Sony Xperia, I'd be willing to pay for it and I'm going to use it for at least 3 years so averaged out it's not that bad. As for the review, I take exception to the comment that the Music app "persists" which to me sounds negative. Surely a music player is an essential app if you have your own music that you transfer to your phone.

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2021Yeah my Xperia Xz Premium battery was begging to be replace... moreI sit here with an XZ Premium with great battery health after 4 years, and my Z Ultra before it the same. More than a full day of use every single day and charge overnight. It's almost like people try to kill their batteries or something.

So what is it missing? 90hz; stereo speakers and the shutter button and keep the same price point. They should do that for the 10 III and is the best midrange phone of the year.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2021Wifi transfer has nothing to do with fast internet and all ... moreAt least you understand how wifi transfers work. USB is consistently faster and much more reliable. This guy really shaming poor people to try and make a point like a dickhead.
Also even if they somehow put a LAN cable into a phone that's technically still a wire lol

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2021But you originally claimed WiFi transfer unreliable? Back t... moreI know you are genetically challenged and lack reading comprehension. I'll explain how this works one last time. The original claim was that wifi transfer is faster, the burden of proof is on the person who said that, there's like 5 different anonymous people responding so I don't know which one of you it was. I do not need to prove anything since I wasn't the original claim.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2021But you did claim that WiFi transfer is unreliable compared... moreAgain you don't know how arguments work. The burden of proof isn't on me, it's on the one who made the original claim, which was wifi transfer is faster. He has yet to prove that it is indeed faster.
And while my internet is actually good and I have a good router, you shaming poor people shows the disgusting person you are.

Otherwise we all know there's no point arguing with someone else who can't afford proper functioning router and high speed Internet.
