Even if they are a really powerful chipset, there is no point utilizing it when you don't have at least USB-C 3.1 with video output support. Also, smartphones with such chipset at that price always have questionable build quality. Xiaomi Poco phones is a prime example of that statement.

They didn't made it worse, in fact now if you swipe the icon, you can seamlessly switch between all the lens like every other phone

Nice phone. My only complain is why Sony used OmniVision sensor for the tele cam? That's such a lousy crappy sensor. They should have sticked to Samsung or their own sensor.
But I'm still interested in Sony phones cos' the made quality is excellent, last very long and no weird bugs for years to come.

So in summary:
-Splendid battery life
-Awfully slow recharge time
-A headphone jack is a nice addition
-Poor speaker quality
-Good CPU but underwhelming graphics performance (for the asking price)
-IP65/68 ratings are the stand-out features that can't be found on any other phones in the market
-Versatile cameras that produces great looking photos during the day, but turns into a complete potato in low light
I guess it's good for people who either use their phones around water frequently or need a long lasting battery and don't want to pay the premium price for it. Otherwise similarly priced Samsung/Xiaomi phones might be better suited.

My Mi Note 10 Lite has 5260mah battery wi... moreNot even related to "optimization" but if you call low peak-brightness, smaller screen, and new but lower-clocked processor "optimization" then maybe Sony could replace that SoC with much lower SD625 and you'd still be amazed by it. lol. What you have is a performance midrange 730G SoC with higher clocks therefore higher power consumption on the SoC-side, bigger screen with higher peak brightness, it's not a matter of which one has better optimization, the SoC that you have just isn't designed to be frugal compared to SD690.

The samsung a52 5g is not good,,im just bought one with free samsung speaker,,,
Picture is not impressive it was full of noise once you zoom it,, pixel was tored..addibg two megapixel is none sense at all, its just fantasy to numbers and trying to disposed for aditional cost..sounds not impressives like even compare to my zenfone 5 midrange to,,they are very far,,its just 5g is addtional
Id rather go to sony 12 8 8...pixels

It's really rare to see a smartphone like the Sony Xperias -- uninterrupted screen, symmetrical bezel, headphone jack, expandable storage -- as if those features can only be found in an Xperia nowadays. I would've bought a smartphone of any brand if it wasn't for the notches, punch holes, and the lack of headphone jack and SD card support.

impressive battery optimisation... never thought they will push it even further, might be because of soc?
camera outputs are better than the previous 10...
for performance? looks like it is on par with pixel 5...
good value, imo... but i would still choose a flagship, but not this year, i already spent a lot on 1ii... ha ha... so i guess, 1iv will be my next... though 1iii is tempting i must admit...
as for the 10iii, i will definitely recommend it to my friends who are looking for a small phone with looong battery life (unless zenfone 8 lasts longer), a relatively small phone and a performance similar to pixel 5, possibly for those wanting high color accuracy...
that 7.5w is just ideal for overnight charge too... sadly, on some markets, they really provide 7.5w... some sellers in taiwan are just kind enough to include a "non sony" 30w charger...

Units last year were shipped with 18W charger.
Also, the battery health tools slow down charging after 50%.
Using 7,5 or 30W would not change much, maybe 20-30 min.
Apple and Samsung do same.
0-50% is way faster than 51-100%.
