      beep bop boop, 26 Jun 2021i am wildly impressed by these OEM's giving such great... moreTrue, some of this 400-500EUR phones look very nice. And is not worth paying 1000EUR just for some small pluses and a better camera. I rarely use the camera on my phone.
      But, also true, you need a little bit of luck with the model you choose. Not all models are great in this price range. And some of them require more compromises than others.

            The foliage rendering is not good imo, it falls apart in low-light, the UW is poor, and ofc it has the worst horrible (optics) internal reflections, even not very strong lights indoors are reflected. And lastly I personally don't like the overly flat looking HDR videos without contrast.
            And let's not talk about zoomed video, lmao.

              Terrible video recording... then again, you get what you paid for. Video recording is still the weakest feature for all Android phones, even the flagship expensive phones. Apple iPhone is still the gold standard for video recording.

              By the way, it's useless to record sample videos with the phone mounted on a fixed location. Walk/run/hop around with it, check its stabilization (or lack of it).

In both spec benchmark and genshin impact 865 has more perf/watt and fps/watt respectively. 855 is a two year old soc. And 865 actually gives 20% more efficency over it.

Other brands aside from Google and Apple tends to soften the image even if beauty is off to reduce noise. Google's advantages is their super res zoom and hdr+ processing which gives images more details and dynamic range, that's why pixels portraits look great even though they're using digital zoom, and is comparable to Iphones with 2x zoom lens portrait. But it is impossible to do it on other phones. I mean, just look at S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11, the portraits at 2x zoom is soft even though the main cam has 108 MP, that's because the software for digital zoom and details aren't as great as Google's.

The... moreif a dedicated macro will be used,it has to be with narrower FoV for sure like 50-60mm. besides,sony xperia 10 has a proper 52mm for zooming,portrait and macro shots,too. i understand there are cost constraints with adding tele lenses on midrangers. then, why not remove all those depth and macro cams? this reduces cost and save more internal space. using digital zoom with bokeh shot is possible with software. if the subject is 20-30cm far, the shot will definitely be an great macro shot. if the subject is 2 meters far, it will be a great portrait shot. pixel did it 4 years ago.

                      AnonD-970391, 26 Jun 2021O am Sick for all 3 useless and the one mediocre on midrang... moreagree...even the same main cam with a proper processing software is all they need.google pixel did zoomed bokeh with only one lens 4 years ago! today's midrange chipset can process as fast as 2017 flagships chipsets. point a subject from 15-20cm, zoom 2-3x and take a portrait shot is all we need.just a single cam does everything by itself for godsake.no need to put 2 more garbage lenses.main and wide is enough for everything.

                          Probably only 1 OS update. Why pay so much money for a phone without software support?
                          This phone is only for tech reviewers that will get new phones every month, meaning they don't need software updates.

                            Well I received my phone in Italy and the charger has USB A so it's USB A to C cable included.

                            And I believe all the top SD chipset has more battery drain than their 700series because I had OP5 before even which had SD835 and battery drain used to be more but now with 120HZ screen I believe this is more common to have higher battery drain. I wish they had included smart charging that we can stop charging at 80% or 90% or like Sony and ROG phone 5 that to use charger and play game without charging in order to reduce heat

                                      And SD 865 and 870 powered phones also heat up, you guys keep acting like only SD 888 does, some people are saying that OnePlus limited the 4k60 and 8k30 video recording to 5 mins on the 9 series because of the SD 888, but even the OnePlus 7 with SD 855 have this 5 mins limit so this theory is false.
                                      SD 855 overheat on Genshin Impact and Fortnite but y'all are acting like only SD 888 does...
                                      I noticed SD 888 powered phones got a lower battery endurance rating on this website but in real world the OnePlus 9 and 8T have similar battery life, maybe there is a flaw in this test, who knows.
