The PhotoPro is very attractive, we like to use as a lightweight mini-DSLR. This app cannot be found on other cheap phones.

- a BIG NO. Lousy HDR scene detection, low quality x4.4 optical zoom, Portrait mode got no exposure correction, low quality intermediate zoom because of Bayer sensor used, underexposed most of the scene in daylight & indoors, inferior camera sensor size than others.

- So you forgot other phones like Xiaomi has manual mode as well? In fact they can yield a way better result because bigger sensor are used. Xperia advantage only EyeAF & 20fps burst, regarding photography. I for one, would choose the bigger sensor over those Xperia's advantage. Most people in the world prefer it too. Sales do the talking. Sony fail at market understanding needs.

But to be honest, the wiser decision is just get the last year 5ii lol 😌
No huge different between 5ii & 5iii. 5iii only a bit better on performance (but SD888 also worse in thermal throttling), with additional telephoto FL (not a huge deal, really).

If its priced at $900 max with Sony earphone bundle, just go with it.

Would you recommend me getting it? I love it but I am seeing so many dissapointed comments I am having second thoughts... It has everything I am looking for (jack and sd slot) and I don't know any other phone that has everything i want.

Simple...
1. 4K screen. Again and again, more of an e-peen vanity feature that is laughable for small screens >17"
2. Let's call it; qcom fails at SD888 efficiencies paired with its 5G radio.
3. Again as per no.1, 90Hz is the top sweet spot to go back and forth to 60Hz not straight from 120Hz.
People essentially are dumb with these expensive flagships. MOBILE should mean good battery life npt the opposite.

The phone was super speedy and smooth and the battery lasted me all day 11 hours and still has about 40% left by the time I get off work. I use it for YouTube and Pandora alot during the day. So I would say that Chinese phone is a good value maybe does not outperform other top brands but same performance with half the cost.
