Realme GT Master review

More than 1 year of use now, 11 months actually. By the way this phone still works very good. My phone software is still RMX3363_11_A.12 version with Android 11 running.

I don't have passion to upgrade software to Android 12. Let's say, one a day I do that, if I don't satisfy with Android 12, I should go back to realme service center to downgrade software.

        I have lots of problem since updating to android 12. Gyro for google map doesn't work well. My actual position stuck everytime i start the googlemap. Refresh rate not smooth as in android 11. Battery drain faster than before the update. Conncetion unstable during mobile data and wifi connection. I don't have theme store. And for the aoplication such as like phone, contact, dial, message using 3rd party from google's application.

              It is one year now I have been using realme GT Master Edition, 256 GB / 8 GB, dazzling blue color. So far I have no trouble issue on my phone. All functions work well till now.

              My phone software still Android 11 RMX3363_11_A.08.

                I have used realme GT Master dazzling blue 256 GB / 8 GB for 11 months now. It is almost year I had used.

                The design for me is compact. I use softcase for Oppo Reno5, while the original softcase I put back inside the box. So far I don't have complaint for design. The volume and power buttons are still fine and good condition (I seldom press them).

                Software still Android 11 version A.12 baseband. I ahd tried once Android 12 (realme UI 3.0) baseband version C.08, not good, WiFi auto connect disconnect every 1 minute, mmmm performance also for me better in Android 11. So I downgrade my phone software on realme Service Center on my region. It did, my phone software back to Android 11. The realme UI 2.0 is good so far I use the phone. Typing comments like this is good, I can type fast and no delay touch.

                I don't have issue with internet on SIM 1 or SIM 2. My phone able to use VoLTE. I also had tried 5G my network operator on covered area, satisfied enough but no for the speed. WiFi okay, it is just rather weird for several routers. The weird of WiFi was slow speed connection. Bluetooth also fine, I use it with my realme Buds Q2, it connects very good, no complaint for that.

                For performance, the phone works very good, I tested play Android game such as Evoland II and Diablo: Immortal, both are playable without any lag. Performance for music is fine, I use JOOX. Performance of streaming is fine too. No issue.

                Camera is fine, I use take object sometimes only. No OIS make photo not better compared with smartphone that has OIS, but the quality is fine for me. Video,.....mmmm I seldom to use it, no much comment for video.

                What I love this is speed charging. Ultra fast charging on this phone works very fine. Yeah, sometimes I experienced the charging told me "full" on 87% health, 90% health, or around 70s % health. Maybe it was just error, but overall still fine for battery. I use battery log to see how many minutes I reach 100% battery when charging.

                Oh yes, the AMOLED screen also attracted me too, I don't use 120 Hz refresh rate. I choose auto refresh rate. Nothing interesting for me, maybe not yet. I heard and read, many comments told that AMOLED easy to get image retention issue. To prevent that issue, I changed wallpaper every day, I also set auto brightness. No issue for auto brightness on my phone.

                Well, I don't regret buy this realme GT Master 256 GB / 8 GB. With affordable price I bought it, I get Android smartphone with AMOLED screen, 5G connectivity and ultra fast charging.

                      I updated my phone to software version A.12 (February security patch). So far I don't have issue.

                        An new update of realme UI 3.0 version C.07 also has auto connect disconnect WiFi. Better stay on Android 11.

                          Yesterday, I did downgrade my phone to RMX3363_11_A.08 version. It successfully on realme Service Center. I waited for 30 minutes and free of charge.

                          My phone software became Android 11 anymore and there were several changes.

                          1. Phone, Messages, using Google version. realme phone and realme message are gone
                          2. No Apps Store, No default internet browser from realme
                          3. No recommendation option to show ads, no ads available anymore

                          It looks like clean Google UI a like.

I got a chance to update to android 12 and realme ui 3.0, but I saw lot of people got bugs and made the phone worse. Did you notice some bugs on your phone? And is it worth to update the software now?

                                  Have been using realme GT Master Edition for 8 months now.

                                  Design, I got Dazzling blue color when I purchased it. Price was affordable. Screen 6,4 inch for me is enough (bigger screen just make the phone design bigger).

                                  Software, very good so far I use. It came with realme UI 2.0 Android 11, then I had updated to Android 12 realme UI 3.0. Performance better, personalization more fresh. Icon color changed based on wallpaper / theme color. Very nice look with added some wallpaper default.

                                  Camera is okay for me, not the best, just normal like other phone I guess. The phone can't shoot object quickly, the quality is fine. For video just fine, I am rare to use record video on the phone.

                                  Sound quality, NFC, Bluetooth, work very fine. No complaint here. The only the weakness point is WiFi connection speed. It slows when connected to WiFi 2,4 GHz / WiFi 2,4G (my unit).

                                  Battery life is okay, the most I use is twice charging in a day. That's OK. I still love ultra fast charging. Charged to 100% in less than 40 minutes (phone is one and idle, battery percentage is under 35%).

All functions work normally. Only WiFi 2,4GHz speed is slow compare other type or brand.

                                        I have bought the phone 8/126 version one week ago..updated it to Ui 3.0...but my battery is draining so fast..and there is a heat issue on the phone...how to solve?
