Kld, 03 May 2022I'm having the watch for almost a month now and I love... moreMaybe something very recent to be aware of that the (title quote from source, google it) "Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 new update can "paralyze" smartwatches" . No fix and Samsung acknowledge unknown versions of this model can be affected and user has to swap-out for replacement as there is no remedial fix.

Pointless piece of crap what is the point in a watch that needs changing everyday. I have one and it's useless may as well have a solar battery too ffs. Never again going back to Huawei watch lasted 2 weeks on 1 charge waste of money

I'm having the watch for almost a month now and I love it. I had an Amazfit Lace before with always on transreflective display. Looking back this is all that I miss. I hope that the app ecosystem will grow. I've goten used with charging the watch almost daily. Depends on how I use it. I also avoid charging it to 100% as much as I can to preserve the battery. I try to charge it to 80ish %.

It's not clear at all in teh review whetehr the Watch has been tested with or without LTE.
That's obviously essential for the battery-life, so how can this review be of any use...?

I have the been using the Galaxy Watch 4 for about 4 weeks and I'm averaging almost 30 hours on a single charge. I had the Galaxy S3 and this is a game changer as far as I'm concerned. I have no complaints.

Not sure why you're having such a bad experience with your Samsung Watch 4. I'm getting at least 30 hours of battery life. For me, it does everything I need it to do.

Okay so an actual team of "qualified" people had to approve of this joke of a design for it to be released to public. Who in their right mind would approve of this whole idea? you have 4 different variants of this watch and not one of them can even remotely compare to the likes of tic watch or huawei heck even LG.
You can optimize the heck out of software, but if the hardware is just not there, then always on display will drain you like a good thai hooker

Jostian, 10 Sep 20212 days battery! Just pathetic... really after so many itera... morei think it's unbelievable people tolerate such battery life of watches. It's laughable. It's watches! My first smart watches were from Samsung, long time ago. I could make calls with them, it was fun. But got rid of them because you don't want to keep charging both watches and mobile like a fool. And have no health data because it's on the desk instead ot hand.
Then i tried another Samsung watches 5 years ago, and the same story. 10% battery ment you need to literally run home to find a charger. On Garmin watches, when you see battery red (e.g. 10%), you just laugh and wait 2 more days. I even went to holidays with a red battery indicator, laughing all the way. No charging stress.

Hi all. My heart rate on my new Galaxy watch 4 44mm is always extremly high 170 to 190 bpm. I used all samsung gear during workout from table tennis to running to weight lifting and this never happen with even qhen I used other brands like huawei watch gt2 or gt3. There is something wrong. I am an athlete and thus this heart rate that i am reading on my galaxy watch 4 is not reliable and surely not true at all. Please users, if you have experienced this, advise. Thank you all. I am using Samsung A72. All others feature in the watch 4 are accurate except the extremely heart rate during any workout. All the best

To bad, I was planning to buy this as an S21 user but reading all those things about battery an accuracy, I will skip.
I had the Apple Watch 5 and iPhone 12 but the battery life made me not wanting to use it, and it stayed in a drawer for 2 months before I sold it.

I wonder where gsmArena folks live because they have been commenting on ECG or blood pressure not being available for years now, and even though it came very late to my region compared to the US or South Korea, I have been using it for the past 12 months already.

I'm personally happy with my Tic watch Pro 3, which I just used ADB to remove most of the Mobvoi bloatware. Here are the pros and cons of the Ticwatch vs the Galaxy watch:
(Since the Tic-watch pro 3 Ultra is the same price, I'll be comparing it instead.
pros:
$299 for the GPS model.
More stock Android wear experience (even more so when you use ADB to disable Mobovi apps. I only keep TicSystem enabled, as it keeps the charging animation and non-Wear OS features that are exclusive to this watch present).
Around 3x more raw CPU power (It's a Snapdragon Wear 4100)
577mAh vs 361mAh battery.
Dual AMOLED + FTSN display with customizable backlight color.
More access to Google suite of apps like Google Pay and Google Assistant
Cons:
1gb of ram vs 1.5gb on Samsung Watch
No support for 5G Wifi networks.
8gb of storage compared to 16gb on Samsung Watch
*Slow software updates with Wear OS 3 coming in 2022. Android security update as of November 2021 is still on March, 2021 (Went from January 2019 to March, 2021 iirc). Last update released on this watch was on July, 2021.
*Display now only has single touch support and no multi touch, which got removed in a firmware update to improve touch responsiveness (Don't know if Galaxy watch has multi-touch and don't know if the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra model fixed this).
*No compass
*No wireless charging (It comes with a proprietary [2 pin] magnetic clip-on charger rated for 5V 1A MAX [Users report that using more than 1A can fry charging cable/watch [on the Pro 3 at least]).
