Samsung Galaxy Watch4 review

I'm personally happy with my Tic watch Pro 3, which I just used ADB to remove most of the Mobvoi bloatware. Here are the pros and cons of the Ticwatch vs the Galaxy watch:
(Since the Tic-watch pro 3 Ultra is the same price, I'll be comparing it instead.
pros:
$299 for the GPS model.
More stock Android wear experience (even more so when you use ADB to disable Mobovi apps. I only keep TicSystem enabled, as it keeps the charging animation and non-Wear OS features that are exclusive to this watch present).
Around 3x more raw CPU power (It's a Snapdragon Wear 4100)
577mAh vs 361mAh battery.
Dual AMOLED + FTSN display with customizable backlight color.
More access to Google suite of apps like Google Pay and Google Assistant
Cons:
1gb of ram vs 1.5gb on Samsung Watch
No support for 5G Wifi networks.
8gb of storage compared to 16gb on Samsung Watch
*Slow software updates with Wear OS 3 coming in 2022. Android security update as of November 2021 is still on March, 2021 (Went from January 2019 to March, 2021 iirc). Last update released on this watch was on July, 2021.
*Display now only has single touch support and no multi touch, which got removed in a firmware update to improve touch responsiveness (Don't know if Galaxy watch has multi-touch and don't know if the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra model fixed this).
*No compass
*No wireless charging (It comes with a proprietary [2 pin] magnetic clip-on charger rated for 5V 1A MAX [Users report that using more than 1A can fry charging cable/watch [on the Pro 3 at least]).

It's the biometric sensors that I can't live with they just simply do not work well. I don't treat this like a medical device but I don't expect it to be a toy for four hundred bucks either

I am using it now i don't see it very special.
Also ECG can only be used if you have a Samsung mobile phone.
I don't know if others have this issues but in my pixel while the watch and pixel buds are connected at the same time the Whatsapp calls cant be attended on Bluetooth headphone. But not sure if it is only for pixel phones or other phones also have this issues.
The call notifications are but annoying as it keeps on ringing even after i pickup the call(whatsapp calls most annoying but happens on normal calls too)
I don't feel comfortable by using this watch. Thats my review but not sure if others like it.

Just got the regular one. It's light and does its job while working out. I'm obsessed in anything nardo grey. Silver is the closest. I owned a gear s3 before so I kinda like the casual look of the regular one.

I have had the Galaxy watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE version for a little over 2 weeks and I have been unhappy! The battery life is less than a day at best. I have had to disable a lot of the features I liked about the Galaxy watch. The unit overheats a lot which makes it almost unusable at times. There are some cool features on the watch, but they almost become not useful because if I enable them they kill the battery life. I would love Samsung to kick in some extra efforts and fix the software, but I think they have a long ways to go! This was a poor release for the company and they have damaged their reputation with this release!

AresinUAE, 12 Sep 2021I have active2, watch3 and now watch4, battery life for all... moreMy Active 2 can last for 2 days, maybe we have different way of use. I never use AOD, continously heart rate & stress monitoring.
I workout 3 times a week, when I use it for track my workout on the next morning the Watch4's battery left 20~28% while the Active2 40~52%. But when I don't about 30~47% left on the Watch4 and about 60% left on the Active2.
Both are 44mm.

Enanemes, 10 Sep 2021I have the Watch 4 44mm and still have the Watch 2 Active a... moreI have active2, watch3 and now watch4, battery life for all 3 is almost the same - usually lasts me around 36 hours with normal usage - if anything, active 2 lasts the shortest but then again i had it for quite some time.

Watch is 1 week old. 8 a.m. 100 % charge. Set to power conservation mode and paired with phone using bluetooth. Looked at watch face and messages maybe 10 times. 6 p.m. battery completely dead. Doesn't seem very practically useable.
