but i thought they have very many of the dim 6,5" 20,9 OLED from LG Left over because nobody buys the X1iii xD.

They are wasting Cam Sensor size because most Phone Users use 16,9 and they are wasting Display size because nearly no content takes advantage out of 20:9.

And im wondering why nearly no Manufacturer is using Sonys IMX 708 or 800 Sensors. Maybe they have a contract with Huawei for those Sensors^^

      When is sony going to be released and at what price

        it's unfortunate that smartphones become extinct before their time. It's $1800 for 2 years of use. then soft or hard technology falls away leaving it orphaned. Which is really unfortunate because if I dropped 2K on a camera, you can bet your ass I'd be hanging on to it.

                          Its more like a Pro Camera attached to a phone. Thats what bugging me all along. Real photographers wont buy it as they have the REAL equipments already. For the price, 100% they will buy lens for their camera over an expensive camera phone. Obviously not for the average person as well. The consumer Sony targeting are quiet confusing.

                          Market understanding. In smartphone world, if u want to put a fully features manual control, you have to tackle in Auto point & shoot 1st. Let see how it goes.

                            Sony phones aren't mass produced so if they set a target and they meet their target who cares if no one else finds value in it as they didn't plan on selling a lot of these phones but the few that want it will buy it.

And no, the screen indeed runs 4K when displaying 4K contents... The battery is really good on it. Had it till launch and the battery does never feel old which means that the battery management thingy software is not half baked. This also applies to the Xperia 1 that I also own. I think that Sony phones are worth it, and the software of it never felt as if they lacked anything or bugged...

                                imparanoic, 29 Oct 2021Probably useful for you on your weekdays, obviously it'... moreAs I said, I am a casual/semi pro photographer, meaning I have a work to do during the weekdays and I can only use my cameras extensively on weekends(I occasionally receive portrait/wedding photography requests from my friends, acquaintances and colleagues, but that is not my main source of income).

                                After work there are times when I take out my Pixel and snap some photos on my way to the station, then edit and put them onto instagram while in a train, but I don't see myself tweaking a bunch of sliders before I take these shots even if I had a phone camera that would allow me to do so.

                                That is exactly what I love about my Pixel 5, one tap and I get decent jpeg and good quality raw for quick editing and uploading. Again, convenience factors. All I am asking for from a phone camera.

If each of them had had 500 units on their hands then selling all of them would have been hardly an achievement.

                                  I will dismiss the rest of your comment as not worth responding as it does not seem to address any of my questions or concerns that I raised in my previous comment.

                                      As far as Sony lovers are concerned, they mean to be a real fan always. But yes, price of Xperia PRO-I must be reasonable for sony lovers.
