Wow this is a brilliant and detailed review. This is what I prefer instead of those Youtubers who rush to publish videos on Day 1.

Not surprised to see the comment section already swarmed with people with their 150 dollar Xiaomi phones trashtalking the Pixel but HOLY CRACKERS, the camera is f*cking insane, especially the night mode. The new Xperia Pro-I can only dream of making night photos like this.

Alright so what have I learned

1)These pictures are not in my taste the high contrast give it this depressing gloomy look

        2) photo quality on smartphones have stagnated .. especially day light pictures..

Makes paying $800 for smartphones kinda makes no sense

...The "Pixel 6 Pro" brings a smaller 6.4-inch flat display with a 90Hz refresh rate, there are 8GB of RAM (versus 12GB on the Pro)...
It should be "Pixel 6". Great and all-round review, btw.

              10 out of 10, would recommend 👍

Nick T gonna show up at night to praise them.

                    What a joke)
                    Half-baked overhyped weirdo.
Have had Nexus, Pixels 1-4XL, and honestly it's a fail.
The mighty Google HDR from previous generations is history now, exploiting same sensor for several years and relying on software only results in absolute just above average camera without any standoffs.
Not to mention meh battery, slow charging time, tensor throttling, tinny speakers? (no actual data, obviously not a premium as on P4XL, what a monster comparing to this).
                    Goodbye G.

salty1863, 03 Nov 2021Good review, one I have been waiting for however I am now t... moreConsidering youtubers said y Pro has better battery life than the regular 6, I assume it will be worse.

Which is worrisome, because the 6 Pro is much worse than I hoped it to be, but not surprising considering it is a Pixel phone.

Don't like the images from the primary sensor. Too over-processed. Looks unattractive to be honest.

Images from the periscope sensor are more natural & better looking, but still not as good as what you can get from competition. Ultrawide is also mediocre at best.

Overall, not the best phone to get for photography. The design & other specs are good though.

Battery endurance isn't enough for me...
                          Sorry Google. Try again

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is equipped with a high-end LPTO

Good review, one I have been waiting for however I am now the owner of the Pixel 6 as I felt there was more bang for your buck and wasn't at all bothered about the periscope lens ( had it on the p30 pro and hardly used it. Will you be reviewing the Pixel 6? I'm interested to see how it performs in your battery tests. Up to now it's been great for me and is probably on par with my previous phone Huawei P30 Pro for every day use ( and that was a beast) Poor results for the Pro though.

It's crazy how much noise reduction the camera applies to lawns in perfect light conditions, even though the sensor is three times as large and should lead to three times as much light at base Iso. The exif data even shows that Google uses a longer exposure time than the Pixel 5, so it should be even more than three times as much light.

captain fokou, 03 Nov 2021Why the best smartphones on the world are so hard to get? P... more1) Google's mobile business is still small. Having phone for sale in so many locations are very expensive. You also need to have repair services (own or 3rd party). There are many places google does not sell any hardware.

                                      2) Vivo does not sell outside China/India because price would rise too much. They do not see chance against Samsung and Apple at this price range $1100-1400. Pro+ are almost $1000 in India, imagine with all EU taxes added. European market is dominated by android phones that cost $300-660.

                                      3) Explanation above applies to Honor as well.

*YouTubers* Pixel 6 Pro has solid sustained performance and a super solid all day battery!
*me* solid battery on a Pixel phone? I don't believe it.
*Gsmarena* Pixel 6 Pro has a "meh" battery and the sustained performance is "meh" too

*me* knew it smelled fishy for a reason.

I still wonder why my 2 year old phone doesn't have all these issues with a SD855 but a much smaller battery (3550), seems I am going to keep that one for even longer.
