I don't know the qualifications of the author... but after reading the initial part I feel gsmarena folks should hire better folks.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022I have used several Android phones and Android versions ove... moreTo me iOS is just a second rate OS that tries hard to be better than Android and always fails.
My wife switched to Mi 10 ultra after the iPhone.
She said why can't iOS be more like miui... That's the power of Android!!!

I am impressed by iphone smartphones but it lacks KNOX SECURITY.. dont reply that traditional answer over eras (iphone is full security), I mean KNOX makes another surface for storing data, so ISP could not enter your knox folder..

One thing the reviewer didn't mention, is that on iOS apps are just better than they are on Android - and that includes Google's apps. That's the main reason I've moved to iOS from android, apps just work.

HomeKit is fantastic compared to SmartThings, and is controlled locally by my AppleTV. Instant switching of smartplugs etc, compared to a 5+ sec delay at times when using their own apps.

I got a 13 Pro Max as well, came from a S21+. S21+ just about made it through a day, even with a Galaxy Watch 4 doing some of the work. With the 13PM/Watch Series 7 I'm seeing 2.5 days easily from the phone, and a busy day with the Watch has it about 20% battery by midnight (I do 18 hour days). Less than 20 mins on the charger has it up to 50/60% for sleep tracking, and it'll go back to 100% on the charger in the morning while I shower etc.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022Android and iOS copy each other. Apple took 10 years to cop... moreYeah, but that's a good thing they copied. If you look, over the years Apple copied many good things from Android, such as multitasking, dropdown notification, widgets etc. Which improved iOS greatly.

Meahwhile Android copying all the negative things from Apple, such as 3.5mm jack removal, limiting user freedom, making modding/rooting very difficult, less functional UI etc. This makes Android worse than it was.

As a result, you can see who improved and who deteriorated. If fanboy like Android consumers keep denying the facts, Android will worsen even further. Rather, we need to accept the facts and pressure the OEMs and Google to stop their agenda

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022This isn't a valid reason at all. This reason is extre... moreBecause it only copies the bad from from Iphone:
            -dropping headphone jack
-limiting user freedom restricting rooting/modding in the name of "security"
            -reducing overall functionalities for looks

But not the good, such as
            -fastest chipset and storage
-things fuctioning more reliably and consistently

Honestly there was a time I would use an iOS phone, but not anymore. I just don't love it as before... As Android provides me with a lot of varieties. That alone is enough reason to make me prefer it.

You can still swipe only from the left side, and some apps require you to close x to go back.

It has a very inconvenient UI.

But nowadays, they just imitate. So no good reason to consider Android except for a very few phones on market.

There's a valid reason why Android users would turn to Apple nowadays. It's due to Google and other OEMs making Android less "Android like" by copying anti-user/anti-consumer decisions made by Apple, such as:

                                    -Removing headphone jack
                                    -making rooting/modding increasingly difficult.
-Making your life more difficult if you do mange to root/mod.
                                    -Making sideloading more difficult.
-Less functional UI in some cases. Look at Android 12 dropdown compared to 11.

So, if you take away all those things that made Android worthy, then why would you go after it?

Unfortunately, none of these Android OEMs nor Google would copy Apple in one or two good things they do:
                                    - Great processor
                                    - Each feature is well implemented and functions as expected

You can see why Android OEMs would lose customer: Turning Android into a rotten Apple.

I confess this as an Andoid enthusiast.

Time for us, the Android users to accept that there is something else out there. A phone that does what you need, not much more. I'm a Note user since Note 4 and had them all. The 20 Ultra is a wonderful phone, for business you can't go wrong with it, screen real estate, the pen, the lack of any visible lag etc. Yet 9n weekends I switch to an iPhone 13 as well and... gets me back to that purity from 2005, simple, no fuss, childish animations and icons etc. Love it.
