I wonder what really is causing it. I use a OnePlus currently and I love it but as much as I appreciate the brand, I cannot buy one again as next phone because of these battery incidents occurring recently

I would say the best alternative for Oneplus Nord 2 is Oneplus 8T which is as similar price point right now and it has flagship built and is already proven to be good device by time

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2022I have Poco F3 and it has bugs in MIUI, some apps, proximit... moreYou can read yourself about the Nord 2's Do Not Disturb, proximity and Bluetooth bugs in the Software section of this review, plus plenty of random bugs ignored by Oneplus. Poco F3 has its bugs but none as serious as the DND and Bluetooth connection issues of the Nord 2.
I am not using Poco F3 but 2 members of my family are using it, one bought it since launch last year. The proximity sensor issue was annoying when new but it have improved through updates that it is no longer a big issue.

There definitely is some magic zoom going on, at least at 2x. While there's some loss of detail it doesn't seem to have the same characteristics that a traditional crop and upscale has.

One plus has not fixed a major bug in video while watching content in YouTube or Instagram the video turns black and red. Only workaround is switch of ai booster but that's a temporary.

I don't think the Bluetooth dropout can be attributed to MediaTek - Qualcomm chipset compatibility. I currently have a mediatek dimensity 1100 phone, and it works well with my Sabbat e16s and Soundpeats H1(which both have a qualcomm 3040 chip in them).

Yes a52 primary and ultrawide shots are great but not in video recording, even tho there's OIS in hardware it doesn't work properly and it got poor chipset (SD 720g, for real in 2022?) and 15watt charging.

I like my Nord 2, but the camera processing isn't great and it turns HDR on every time the app is launched. This results in colours that are unpalatable. Photos with GCam are decent...perhaps what you'd expect with a very decent sensor like the IMX766.
However, I can't get past the fact that this phone might not get Android 12 until April, despite it being the first OP phone to have ColorOS under the hood (with OOs on top).
As stated, why go for the Nord 2 when the Galaxy A52 5G and A52s have 120Hz displays and have already received Android 12? The primary camera is just as good with Gcam.

The review says that and I concur because I have one. Let's maybe cut out the brand bias and give a honest opinion like that in the review. I bought the phone because the camera was important to me and I haven't been disappointed.

You would know if you read the Poco F3 long term review. The Nord 2's camera is average for its price segment and certainly not a big jump in quality over the A52S.

tl;dr - good phone, unless it explodes on you as it usually does (you can google up "Nord 2 5G explosion" for yourself for more information. Curiously there was no coverage on GSMarena).
