I've put my money where my mouth is and ordered a 256 GB + with a 256GB Tab S8. There was 125 euro off for my damaged screen Note 9 and, 25% off on the tablet and free pro buds.
I have many gripes with Samsung gear, bout alas even more with other stuff.
The whole shebang is going to set me back about as much as a 512 GB iPhone Pro max.

I know that many people prefer smaller phones but there's also a big chunk of people that like bigger screens. Samsung should make a 6.8" or more vanilla version of the s22 too .

Samsung made a big mistake by cripling cameras on S22 and S22+. Cripling screen and battery on S22 made more unatractive for users to update from S10, including me. All this was to boost S22 Ultra, which is ugly and bulky. I'm pretty sure sales will not meet expectations for samsung. They even stopped sales of S21 Ultra to defibrillate S22 Ultra preorders.

To be honest apart the fact is just a costly gimmick with many useless costly features such as IP6X rating.
As long as manufacturer does gives water damage warranty IP6X is just a costly gimmick because every phone can withstand few rain dops with ease and any waterproof cover from alliexpress or wish site does better tricks for much less money.
Another useless gimmick is lack of 3,5mm jack and SD slot. I know there is an cloud storage but not every country or region have stable fast internet service and cloud storage is clostly.
Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1750 nits (peak), 1440 x 3088 pixels (~500 ppi density) is also a costly useless gimmick. On a 6 or 7 inc screen anything above FHD+ is completely pointless because on a such small screen noone will spot any major differences.
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ is another costly gimmick. screen protector does same trick for much less money. Also book case will protect the screen too. Both cost way less and does way better job.
Fast charging 45W, USB Power Delivery 3.0 another costly gimmick. Yes Samsung improved charging reat but excluded charger from the box. Same goes for earphones.
Shameless shame called Shamesung way how to attract even less customers.
Samsung DeX, Samsung Wireless DeX (desktop experience support), Bixby natural language commands and dictation, Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified), Ultra Wideband (UWB) support, One UI 4.1, Exynos 2200 (4 nm) - Europe.
Just Another belowed Samsung bloatware. Pure android experience is the only ebst solution. Let every customer install what they want and need and dot force them to something which only eat disk space and ram. Not everybody needs any of that apps or things and not everybody use them.
Same goes for Samsung brownser. Just why if there is a google chrome.
No need for 2 same apps which act like mandatory and noone of them can be permanently deleted.
Just why fingerprint sensor embeded in screen???
If it will not work with glass screen protector and having a glass screen rptector with a hole in the middle is just a big fail.
At that size and thickness of a screen battery should be at least 10 000.
3700 mAh up to 5000 mAh depends on model of S22 is just too small.
Wih all that cons final price should be from 450 up to 900 top specced model of S22 ultra.

However there are so many features in the S22U removed compared to the Note9: SD-card, headphone jack, lighter weight, pulse- and pO2-sensors, that it feels more like a downgrade. Therefore I ordered just a battery exchange for my Note9 after the S22U announcement... Wish Samsung would introduce a Stylus with a phone like the A71 - this would be a better Note...

I got my Galaxy S10+ on release day (traded in my S8+) and held on to it since. It did everything I needed, and with the photo/video camera and everything else in it, I felt it's been pretty future proof the entire time I've owned it. This S22 Ultra looks like a worthy upgrade on its own with the battery, camera, CPU/GPU, and on top of all that, I just talked with my carrier and they're willing to give me $800(!!) off the S22U if I trade in my S10+ (Apparently I'm lucky since the S9 and below cap at $400 trade in max).
I told myself when I got the S10+ this would be my last upgrade (S3 > S6 > S8+ > S10+), but I think I can make one more exception.
Fantastic review, it was just what I needed to finalize my decision. Thank you.

It doesn't appear to have dual SIM card (2 physical slots). I ordered this phone (Ultra) on the Samsung site with a whole bunch of accessories and then subsequently cancelled my order when I realized that it only has a single SIM. So many people nowadays (not just Americans!) have a business/work SIM and a personal SIM. Frankly, I was surprised that this feature is neither present on these phones (offering in Canada), nor is this spec even mentioned in the description.
