Anonymous, 10 Feb 2022Dear friend, you are obviously not clear on the details. ... moreIt's similar, but far from the same old deal.

Camera for one is way improved in low light, and colors appear more vivid than even the S21 Ultra.

I'm not sure about everyone else but looking at the camera comparison between the S21 Ultra and the S22 Ultra, I much prefer the S21 Ultra photo quality. It looks more natural and somehow more realistic than the new phone. I also noticed that the S22 Ultra has some degree of noise reduction going on. That said, I'll wait for the full review of the S22 Ultra to come in.

I'm currently using the s10+ and the biggest, most important gripe to me is the unlocking mechanism. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is rubbish, and the face recognition is just vastly inferior compared to ios. It wont unlock in dim condition while ios can do it in total darkness. Even in brightly lit condition it still doesnt always work. Can anyone confirm that the s22 has better face recognition and/or ultrasonic fingerprint sensor? If it doesn't, I dont see the need to upgrade.

              Welcome back Note Series.

This is what we lost LG to? For shame.

Selva, 10 Feb 2022S22 Ultra is not a worthy proposition for upgrading from s2... moreDear friend, you are obviously not clear on the details. Perhaps you should read my post on this site In which I compare the major differences between the S22 Ultra and the Note 20 Ultra. The S22 Ultra is in several ways similar to the Note 20 Ultra but the differences (the 5K battery, the faster processor, the more advanced stylus -extremely important for professionals and serious amateurs- , the 1TB storage, the 45 watt charging capability and the advanced telephoto system make this a far superior device than the NOTE 20.
                              Hope this helps.

                                Conclusion

The S22 Ultra is a much more advanced phone/workhorse and is suitable for professionals, journalists, teachers, grad students, serious photographers, and others, who often require an easily portable mini PC for work-related activities and serious leisure pursuits. In particular, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts will love the powerful telephoto capabilities of the S22 Ultra, and the phone's ability to take clear and sharp photos and video.

For me, the features of the S22 Ultra that stand out are the large battery, the fast charging capability, the faster processor, the great cameras and the 1 TB storage. And, I might add, this kind of storage essentially makes the card slot redundant.

Finally, while the Note 20 Ultra is a fine phone it just doesn't cut it when compared to the S22 Ultra.

I'm a galaxy user since forever and I'm becoming more and more tired if upgrading to the same phone just a bit better. I was looking at the Fold and I'm kind of tempted just to change a bit but I don't want to miss out on the s22 if it is worth it. I'm so confused that any help would be great

Camera setup in vanilla and plus dissapoints. Small matrix for tele won't surprise with good shots. Small battery is bad idea as well. I appreciate compactness of s22, but not at cost of battery life, which was never perfect
