I have ordered the S21 Ultra with 256GB, for future proof-ness considering the announced update support. I don't like the design of the S22 ultra. S21 ultra checks all the boxes for me!

What I dont.like about this blogger or writer is that he takes pictures of the same buildings and place for all his/her phone camera review. It's sooo boring that I even stopped reading his reviews.. I wonder why he doesn't ever get bored taking shots of the same place again n again n again

bunyip22, 27 Feb 2022I agree, I will never use the 108MP 4:3 camera with 1x zoom... moreIt will still be a 9MP after thousands of updates, and you are paying a thousand dollar for that! My $400 Lumia 950XL has a 20MP image sensor ant it captures 16MP in 16:9

My default is the 16:9 9MP camera 4000 x 2252). That said, i really like the camera and phone and no doubt the camera will improve further with software updates.

While I'm not particularly fond of this phone, I have to say the back panel is really nice. Looks really minimal compared to a phone with a big camera island.

I'm upgrading from my 2017 Note8 in a couple of months time. My phone is now about 4,5 years old. I am a Note user, so I need the s-pen. Color will be the green one. A big plus is 5 years of upgrades, hopefully more android manufacturers will follow suit.

Surely everyone can see how all shots from the main camera are out of focus on the edges... it's very noticeable when you compare with s21 shots. Must be because of the wider lens.. it was too wide on the s21u and now they are ruining images with blurry edges.
I was very disappointed with the S21U (exynos) photo quality but they did tune it after a long time. The S22U is a step backwards for everyday photography with the main camera IMHO.

Pretty sad how little the camera improved. Sure, some processing improvements but hardly 1 year's worth. The gimped 8K video mode just shows Samsung didn't spend much time improving over S21 Ultra

DonAKG, 26 Feb 2022You do know you can change it to 16:9 in setting right? Or ... moreI think you have not finished reading. when you shoot in 16:9 or even full screen then the image size becomes 9MP, 88MP or even smaller!!!

The review didn't mention anything about the vibration motor.. the s22 lineup uses a vibration motor operating on the x-axis as opposed to the z-axis that its previous flagships have used. This results in significantly weaker perceived vibration on the s22 ultra. This is only bad if you depend on the vibrate function on your phone for calls and notifications. A very big oversight on Samsung's part.

[deleted post]Because screens for TVs and computers used to be 4:3.
Many of those compact cameras are 4:3 as well.
Imx486 used by Sony Pro-i is 3:2.
Imx789 used by OP9 Pro is 16:10 (50MP).
