I love the Nokia brand.
Nokia has a special place in my heart.
HMD ruined everything.
They should stop making phones.
What they are doing is not funny anymore.
I'm absolutely disgusted.
People at HMD are very incompetent.
Shame on you!
I will never buy a Nokia phone made by this HMD impostor.
Return the brand to Nokia Corporation!

Although at first I hated the design of the G21, it kind of grew on me. I kind of like it now. That goes for the shell of the phone, not the screen. I still hate these V-shaped notches and would love to see U-shaped one instead (yes I don't hate notches, only V ones). The price is right from my point of view. This phone tries to offer other aspects to fill in the value for money thing, mainly the software update part. I see, as usual, lots of bashing going around and I don't understand it. We all have different tastes and this phone is will just fit the taste of some while others will find it to be rubbish. That's fine but keep an open mind for other opinions. I currently own the X20 and I'm very happy with it. I had the G20 and it was also more than fine given the limited hardware. The build quality is, as alway, above other devices in this price range (read build, not design). The screen of both devices is Ok for an LCD (yes I'm one of those annoying Oled fans) so I don't think that this one will disappoint, certainly as the hardware is on paper better that the G20 one. Reacting to one of the latest comments in the chat is that I agree to the fact that HMD will have to try very hard to survive in the killing world of mobile phone makers. I do believe that they have made a good decision to abandon for now the high end market and focus more on developing a steady base in the low and medium segment (Xiaomi also started like that). But now they need to stick with it and make it happen instead of looking around and trying different approaches without finishing it. For me the G21 will not be my next Nokia, I'm still hoping to gather the fundings to buy an XR20.

Defend Nokia all you want, it won't change the fact Nokia under HMD is a slowly sinking ship. When even Samsung beat Nokia in terms of good value, you know your beloved Nokia is in trouble.

I use X10 & it great better than 99% of phones with big number have seen in term of performance... Quality build not trashy buil...

Ahsan, 10 Mar 2022Hmd is out of their mind only people who will buy this phon... moreOver 25 workers have tasted Xaomi in my company none went back for it, we all sold them or it stopped working one way or d other, bad Camera after update, bugs during game play, battery life decrease after 1month, heat & Lag during game play so don't compare Xaomi with Nokia is like Comparing Quantity & Quality... Forget about numbers go for real life performance...

The first GSMArena review of a Nokia since the 6.2 in 2019!
I used the G21 for a couple of weeks before gifting it to my mother to replace an old Alcatel running Android Go. In comparison it may as well be a flagship.
The G21 is like most Nokia-branded devices of the last couple of years: unremarkable but competent and suited for the target market.
It was a phone I didn't want to like, especially with the ODM camera housing design, but it was quite pleasant to use day-to-day, and the textured back, flat frame and understated colour choices are pleasant.
It was also strangely performant for the price, I don't think most intended users will have an issue with the chipset and especially not the battery life or charging speeds. A niche type of user is overrepresented on this site and they forget they are in a minority for their use cases and needs.
I don't think the G21 is especially uncompetitive, at least in Europe. The pricing in the UK is pretty good, but I think it is a little more expensive elsewhere on the continent.

In fact, fast charging doesn't mean can't last long.
Ridiculous if he think use a phone for 14-16 hrs and charge the phone at his sleep time is better compare to charge a phone at morning (30-45mins), but can last until the next morning.

Nokia should be banned from making smartphones they should stick with torchlight+keypad phones which has its own user base. Even real paintings looks better than this crap camera

The target market of this phone for those who like stock android with super budget-friendly price & have basic feature and the most important is the battery & decent camera.
This phone also for people who like to buy second phone for backup or other purpose but love stock android besides Google Pixel like me.
Not many manufacturers have a very near stock android like Nokia.
If you a heavy user & gamer, why you look up for this brand? Go with other brands with a lot of choices. Geez

Xiaomi already rise price of most phones released this year, check price of redmi 10 more than 200 bucks, at same price probably this phone is Going to compete with redmi 10A with helio G25
Samsung at This price point you have A12 with helio p35 or A13 with exynos 850 both of these are inferior.
Most of vivo and oppo at this price point dont offer big cores same p35, p22 and G25.
The few Exception are motorola, some of them came with Unisoc soc and offer same value, but some new Motorolla doesnt even have Big cores.
And Because HMD is not focusing in India, China and other competitive market these phones will be available in Area were people need them the most.

If smart phones are only used for communication like in the early days of mobile phones then feature phones or Nokia entry level smart phones are perfectly adequate there is no need to waste money by buying overpriced Nokia phones.
There's nothing wrong if you are one of those people who are still loyal to Nokia but don't say something that will make you sound s+up!d just to defend your favorite brand.
Like it or not, Nokia smartphones are no longer comparable to smart phones from Asian brands especially nowadays some brands like Samsung and even Xiaomi have started to provide security update for at least 2/3 years.
That's why Nokia is not even able to dominate the market share of Finland, which is Nokia's home country.
