The review completely missed the point. The Flip fits in your tight jeans, small purse then puts a smile on your face every time you unfold it. Also it doesn't need an ugly case as the screen is always protected.
I've had mine for 8 months with no case, and it's awesome!

    I have it since October.
Battery is no issue for me, i put it on wireless charger in car or at the office.
So I never go under 50%, even iam using my phone non stop. (If ill be outdoor worker with no electricity contact...ok...but then u need to work and not touch your phone)
Photo quality, daylight no problem. If u have " eye" u still do better photos then 99% ofno8bs with super camera, but with no feeling for it.
Night photos are not superb, bit if u can use placed flipped phone, it do the trick, no shaking hand and it is okiesh.
So at the end, those issues never came up to my mind, and the flip positives...every second every day.
Maybe i change this phone for newer flip, when this will be too used, but never ever for s23, S24... s222, s333

-Trix-, 09 May 2022"We can't answer this question for you but, based... moreSame story with S22 series: market is flooded with second hand devices. People don't want phones with 3h screen on time. Where i live i can buy 2 months old S22 for HALF price of new device.

It's not battery that is the problem, but chipsets getting more and more power hungry. Snapdragon 888 and 8gen1 are made by Samsung and are LESS performance/power ratio than Snapdragon 865 made by TSMC. Somehow Apple can make phone lasting two days, but Samsung simply can't

Just like i bought S6 Edge before, i bought Flip 3 when released for the concept and due to its specs.

Since September and quite a few updates, camera and system got better but battery-life decreased.
I found that enabling eco mode and disabling 5G in this mode too increased battery quite a bit, even if i don't have a 5g plan.

It really could have been a better phone but I'm waiting for fold 4's launch.

I'm kinda like Ed O'Neill when he failed to recognize Britney Spears in a Hawaiian airport or Johnny Lawrence in Cobra Kai still stuck in the 80s. I'm treating foldables like I'm living in a bubble with them. I figure they'll never take off. They're too niche and still too expensive for the masses. Many people who own multiple smartphones don't really see the advantages from foldable screens. And I'm ok with that.

I want to be Juan Bagnell enjoying his Surface Duo series. None of us have to think like the rest of the world. I want my foldables to keep on coming. Reminds me of that weird time in 1993 when Panasonic 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Amiga CD32, and Philips CD-i came out and it was a confusing time to shop for a new console. Loved it. Love variety.

Flip 3. Razr 5G. Pixel Notepad. Surface Duo. LG Wing. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

Best phone I've ever owned. Love playing GameCube games on it with an SN30 Pro in Flex mode. Razr 5G being my 2nd favorite. These will be my phones to use for the rest of this decade if they don't break before that.

Flip phones for life. Disappointed in the Razr 3 design. Perhaps foldables are more useless and will never take off. Most people don't need this form factor. But I love it even how niche it is. Planning to get a Surface Duo and Google Pixel Notepad to keep it varied.

It has been mediocre on release and it still is. Barely any upside but multiple downsides. Basically hyped because of it's form factor by people that did not consider the costs of that design.

"We can't answer this question for you but, based on the Flip3's record breaking sales (for a foldable), we assume a lot of people are actually willing to live with these downsides. "

I think people just want try something new, but based on how many of these foldable phones can be found from second hand stores. It looks like the experience for many wasn't what they expected it to be just like you also found out. So maybe many have noticed these downsides too which foldable brings and trying to sell them. Too bad for them that so many want to sell them, you only get around half the price of what you paid for it.
