So, in summary

Sony got tired of how bad Samsung's sensors were and took their own approach this time, and looking at those photos, it sure paid off.

A good step in the right direction, honestly. Sad that video capabilities went down, but thats more due to the chipset they use

Amazing battery life, but that's about it. Camera isn't good, phone has a slow-as-hell panel and well... Then there's Sony's update policy as well, absolutely NO. Sounds like a horrible deal, which can't be remedied by the battery life alone. Not even close.

163 hours of battery endurance rating? MY GOD! For a phone with an OLED 1B screen, that is insane! Not having a high refresh rate screen definitely helps. Wow, I really cannot believe it!

Why is "no charger and usb-cable" a con?

We are living in 2022.. It is very few people that actually need a new charger.

Horrible camera quality at this price point. Just compared it with the J7 Pro, a 5-year old midrange phone. I don't see any difference.

Apart from the amazing battery life, the Xperia 10 iv is underwhelming in all other aspects. Unlike the great 1 iv, Sony made some questionable decisions with this one. They put in an inferior display, taken out all accessories and increased the price, so the least Sony can do is give the Xperia 10 iv stereo speakers. What a disappointment for me who was plannng to get this phone.

Outstanding battery life. If only they bring stereo speakers and 90hz display it will be a perfect, albeit with reduced endurance rating (150h maybe, but it is a good deal rather than 60hz display)

There's no real upgrade except for battery. The only selling point is the endurance. Ah, if you really want that 8mp 2x telephoto it could be a nice choice.

So let's compare this with Pixel 6a, which is also released recently. I am not satisfied with 6a, too. However I want to say 6a seems to be the better choice. Even Tensor is throttled to half it still has better performance...

10 IV could be a better phone with 778G, even 765G is enough

And the 1 is allowed to be expensive. For me it's too much, but it's the only flagship that really offers a complete package nowadays.

I can't wait for Sony's rabid fans to defend this piece of overpriced junk. Just like their other models, it's extremely underwhelming and half-baked. No wonder they're dead in major smartphone markets.
