The Honor is 1000 euros with its base configuration, 256GBs.
If you want a 256GB S22 Ultra, that'll easily be an additional 100 euros more expensive. And Samsung doesn't have SD card support anymore.

Also Magic4 Pro likely beats it in main camera performance - which is the most important camera by far - in my opinion. Plus according to the article, the sound is also better on the Honor.

This smartphone is like a perfect smartphone with no major flaws Except
-agressive app killing nd the ultrawide(but these aren't dealbreakers)
This really shows Huawei trained Honor very well
The only reason why most people will not buy this smartphone is because of the Honor badge
I really wish consumers will stop neglecting some Brands or saying this smartphone is too expensive(even though the price is same with the competition) just because its not the normal brand they know eg Samsung,Apple,Google etc
I mean there is noting wrong with Honor or any other brand crossing the $1000+ mark if the smartphone is worth it nd the magic 4 pro is
Wish reviewers can treat brands as equals nd be neutral when necessary

AND HONOR HAS GMS AND 5G

I don't like this attitude because, chinese brands cannot put competitive pressure over the others with these prices. competition is always good for consumer.

chinese brands just don't understand how value for money works. no one buys a chinese phone equal to apple or samsung flagship price. first,chinese brands need to sell those flagships so that,people start experiencing them for a few years and start recommending by long term experience. once they get some market share and brand confidence,that's when they can request for similar prices.

Besides Honor only sells well in China, so i expected in Europe the prices to be a bit lower.

Hardware wise the phone looks great despite the unimpressive battery life.
Price wise though the phone is a letdown. Not as big as Xperia 1 IV ,but 1100euro starting price is a bit too much, because of honors questionable software support.
Why is it so hard for android manufacturers to price their flagships under 1000euros?

From the review "Still, it has to be said that the resulting photos still have a resolution of 12.5MP - the sensor's binned output - so there must be some minor upsampling as you can't crop the sensor and still get the same resolution. But we didn't notice any impact on the overall quality."
To calculate how much upsampling there is
27/23= 1.174, square that which is 1.378
Now divide 12.5 by 1.378 and you get 9.
So by taking a 27mm crop from a 23mm equivalent lens paired with a 12.5mp output sensor, the effective resolution is around 9mp.
On the dxomark review of the honor magic 4 pro, in the comparison images with the pixel 6 pro which has outputs a wider image, the small text in the first comparison with the pharmacy building is more legible with the pixel 6.
I have seen numerous other examples with the Huawei p50 Pro compared to the pixel 6 and iPhone 13 where small text is more legible on rival cameras. Dxomark don't seem to notice this loss in resolution.
