WHO needs 8K HDR Video ? It shows nothing what 4k isnt already showing. U have to crop in the picture to see a difference.
When will we finally get REAL continous 1000FPS 720P Recording ? All Phones are doing fake 480fps with Interpolated Frames at the Moment which looks very bad.

Hype all the way, but what about battery!? My motorola g9 power, one of the top 5 highest rated batteries on this site, after 18 months it can't get past 6-8 hours of SOT, and I am not even playing games on it. That's a low end device, with low res display, and 6A battery. I don't even want to imagine if someone pulls a vanilla s22 again.
Seriously, if the consumption is even higher than SD8 gen 1, then it's TRASH. Period.

This chip finally defeats Mediatek, but the power consumption compared to Apple is very high. And stability is not that great compared to Apple.
Still, is a nice improvement and gaming phones will get the best benefit of it.
However we cannot say the same with the SD 7 Gen 1.

"this new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ platform. It is the current best on the Android market, "
I'm going to give you guys the benefit of the doubt that you mean best qualcom on the android market and not chipset overall
Because if your implying best overall chipset without any real production models then not only would that not be objective that would be some unhealthy bias
Hopefully we stick to actual testing then making proper conclusions

based on benchmark from watt performance above with plus model performance compared to standard 8 gen 1,
cpu power reduction 20% > same as gpu
gpu power reduction 20% > as 8 gen 1 gpu commonly throttling to 50% performance this will
improve performance ,gpu will only throttle to 70% or 50% with power saving
Npu power reduction 30% > this will prevent camera lens fogging (mi12 pro issue becuase of overheating using camera)
The problem now is the thermal will the temp drop 30% also?

Wow so essentially mediatek still has better architecture design and more cache
Qualcomm really is helped by enabling OEMs the 7gen 1 is just an 870 rebranding essentially smh

It's the battery life tests that we want to see. I don't understand why for the past year to have flagship performance we have to put up with iphone 4 battery life.

You should have run the same benchmarks few times, after each other to have some impression of throttling.
Also how about temperature of the sample device ? Was it better than, let's say the Snapdragon phone from the last time ?

I'll believe the hype when I see battery and throttling tests. Right now, it just looks like an overclocked 8 gen 1.
