fastanddubious, 23 Jun 2022What's your point exactly? 😏My point is,why out up with it,the whole idea of Bokeh as an effect has become totally over the top recently.
Its a fault in optics,look at old pre digital pics ,Bokeh hardly exists,and was seen as a sign of bad optics,very few folk tried to use it as an effect,now look at old digital pics,still not much Bokeh,look at more recent digi pics ,then all of a sudden,you find Bokeh suddenly becomes the "thing",because it makes a pic stand out from a pic without Bokeh,but now every pic is smothered in Bokeh ,those without stand out..
Now you explain to me why YOU think Bokeh is a good thing..

Pointless "contest". Axon has the lead simply because it has much less pixels to process. Playing around with camera settings and other software will negate any significant differences. Not to mention it's mostly opposed to objective metrics of performance.

In order to compare the f number of different size sensors at same focal length it must be related with the sensor size itself.
f2,3 of Xperia 1 IV small 1/3,5" telephoto sensor becomes a not so impressive f4 if compared with the larger one 1/2" of Magic 4 pro and Axon 40 ultra, at similar focal length (85mm vs 90mm)

What?!?! 😆care to show some source for this? Bokeh is one of the biggest artistic feature photographers can use in so many different ways to make very different look or feel photos.

Bokeh is a sign of crap optics,its only very recently that its become a "thing" to try to achieve,cos it helps hide crap optics,it's only folk like me who know/complain,a "real" photographer who is older than digital cameras..

Also fun fact, you can use S21 Ultra or S22 Ultra with Gcam in Portrait mode in 10x lens, that way you can take amazing long distance portraits and much more background blur 😂
