Ali, 18 Jul 2022They made a mistake not having the rear display anymore IMO... moreI dont understand why they dont use "rare display" in new models.. very wierd.. maybe it was draining battery ? but the user would open it up only when they were gonna use it.. and then turn it off... so i guess "battery drain" was not the real reason why they pulled the plug to "rare display" project..

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2022So u're one of those that love the 20th century 45watt... morePremium brands like Apple and Samsung do not charge at high voltages / current. 120 Watt sounds like garbage to me. Devolution. Degrading.
Even this high end Xiaomi Ultra follows the same wisdom.

I strongly doubt that the hardware is supposed to be better than in the Xperia Pro i.What are the native ISO values of the two sensors? Does the sensor in the Mi also support 20 frames per second? eye autofocus? variable aperture? Separate image processor from Sony? 4K 120fps? Zeiss optics made entirely of glass? dedicated camera shutter with focus function? the same manual setting options as with the Sony Xperia pro i?....... Sensor size is a building block. The Pro i has the best camera that has ever sat in a smartphone.

50 Watt charging. Now that is a safe yet fast and durable way to charge a phone. I have a Samsung that charges at 45 Watts and its perfect. Anything more then that will degrade the battery too fast, even in 2 years time. There is a lot of blah blah out there that says 100 Watt is perfectly fine and safe, but one can't beat battery science. Something with heat and wear .. ..

BBK is probably offering good value for money in the Android space, with their Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Vivo and iQoO. Their Android skin isn't bad either. Personally, Huawei's HarmonyOS skin is the best among any other Android skins.
Vanilla Android in Pixel isn't to my taste, although surprisingly I like the Sony's Xperia twist. Samsung OneUI is also good, and ColorOS isn't too bad. Samsung is good in their software department but not happy with their decision in giving SD to limited markets only. Their Exynos was/is shit.
I'm currently using Xiaomi 12S Ultra after moving away from Huawei due to the US ban. Previous MIUI iterations and Xiaomi hardware weren't good, yet I'm happy with the 12S Ultra so far. MIUI 13 is still very busy, and Xiaomi needs to tone it down a bit. Sometimes it takes too many taps to do something. In Huawei, it probably takes two taps only, but in MIUI it can be 4 taps to do the same thing.
Still feel very upset with the US ban on Huawei, given Huawei was on its way to becoming the premier Android phone maker, predicted to be on par with Apple, and outshined Samsung. Alas, the ban came in and ruined us, customers.

BBK brads are a best buy in Europe for example (at any price range)
But I'll give credit where credit is due, Xiaomi needs to keep their thermals and battery life in check, otheriwise people will stop buying them. I did, after a couple for flops (poco f2 pro Mix 4, 11 ultra)

Why one will buy $1000 phone for custom rom.and also custom rom has really less features compared to miui and even if there are, they are buggy. These Chinese flagships are better for Chinese people. Apple or Samsung is way better in terms of software.

now the idiots from xiaomi are making the battery smaller again and the camera worse... what idiocy in the smartphone industry, not only at xiaoshit, but also at samshit, huashit and all the other big shitplayers in the industry.

Where do you find a custom kernel?

[deleted post]Where did u find a custom kernel? I need one to fix an issue with my phone

I hope that Xiaomi will use Android UI instead of MiUI because MiUI has so many lags and bugs that is enough reason to ignore the brand's flagship phones.
