Overheating warning? People here promised snapdragon by TSMC was gonna make things 50% better.
Leica Vibrant : few samples are disgusting. It increaseas contrast too much to make texture more evident ( like Google does) , ruins the photos. Looks like painted ( first photo gray bricks).
Screen is weaker than last generation. Gizmochina mentions few issues.
Near 5000mAh, tsmc chip, LTPO screen. Still below 100h.
Xiaomi should focus on range $300-550. Flagships are always below what ppl expect.

"in part, because that device was camera first, smartphone second. That's how our reasoning goes, and we stand behind it."
It remains wrong when you write that the Cm1 is not the first phone with such a large sensor. The Cm1 was a smartphone.
"The Japan-only Sharp Aquos R6 was the pioneering one-incher"
Nonetheless, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra actually uses a different sensor size than previous 1" type cameras. Other 1" type cameras used a 1" type 3:2 sensor, which has an active sensor area of approximately 115mm². A 4:3 1" type sensor has an active sensor area of approximately 120mm². Xiaomi's 4:3 1" type sensor has an active sensor area of approximately 129mm², so it's actually slightly larger than a 4:3 1" type sensor. So, the 12S Ultra is actually not using a 1" type sensor. It is the first smartphone that uses a 129mm² sensor.

10x Images from the clock at the dame distance would have been interesting. The 2x photos have a slightly better angular resolution than the high resolution images, so the 10x images could be better as well.
