So, you dislike ultra fast-charging which serves a practical purpose but brag about wireless charging, which is a misnomer and it still needs to be placed on a dock? lmao
Metal frame? Wow how innovative!
Just admit you're on the Nothing payroll.

That's not the kind of "trade off" that I will accept. Meanwhile, the LEDs can be disabled if one doesn't like them. What about the metal frame ? Most of chinese phones are removing that from their phones, even the flagship phones. Nothing phone has it. Same with wireless charging. Anything to say about that one ? These are flagship phone features that nothing puts on their phones. Also, most phones have unknown brand of glass on them, but the phone (1) has gorilla glass 5 on both sides. Not the best, but still better than others. What about the packaging? the phone (1) has the contest retail box ever (although that's irrelevant but that still adds to the unboxing experience

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2022Anything can be a gimmick but for some it's everything... moreUltra fast-charging has a practical use, even if there is a trade-off.
A bunch of blinking lights on the back of your phone does nothing. If anything, it's just going to get your screen scratched up.

For example, fast charging is a gimmick to me (those ultra mega 200w speeds) but a deal breaker for some, if the phone lacks that feature, same with curved displays and big screens, some like it, and some don't. I think the lights are cool. For some is a gimmick. Is just a matter of preferences

507AMS, 23 Jul 2022almost all brands get components or have factories in China... moreEven iphone that is mostly assembled in China barely has chinese components.
This is why phones from brands outside China cost much more to be made.

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2022The same display that has awful green tint and dead pixels?... moreThose kind of issues can happen to every company. It's not really their fault there. Just about every company out there had issues with hardware and software. Even Google had those and continues to have them. Nothing of a big deal. And this is there first phone, so don't be overly criticising of them. Appreciate Nothing for bringing something new into the Android

Vonikhsat S Metra, 23 Jul 2022Video quality is simply outstanding! Didn't expect thi... moreCompletely new? Lol, anything but that. Carl Pei has been the CEO of OnePlus for many years, so it should only be rightful for his new company to nail every single aspect of a smartphone at first try, considering that he already had many years of experience prior to the establishment of his new smartphone brand.
For a former CEO of a supposedly already respected brand, this is beyond disappointing to see it fail in many aspects that he has seemingly already nailed before. It's as if he was a completely rookie smartphone brand CEO to not even know how to impose proper quality control over their own products. Maybe he is just an experienced CEO in terms of creating marketing hypes that lead to ridiculous disappointments after the product's announcement.
