Wow, that audio test result is a nightmare.

Fitz, 23 Jul 2022All this cry babies comparing this to the Samsung A52s are ... moreGo ahead and call me a cry-baby, I can do the same and call you a "fake person", "shill", or "someone who works for Carl Pei".

It doesn't matter if the Samsung A52s was released a weeks ago, a month ago, a year ago, or even longer. If you fail to make objective comparisons, then it means you are biased in your assessment. To make some compromises, I could even say to compare them at price-parity.... but even then the Samsung looks to have the advantage as I wrote in my previous comment. It's not only better, but its cheaper and older.

If anything "being old" is a disadvantage for the A52s, so to see it actually beating out a new arrival, just goes to show how bad the new arrival is, or how good the old device is, or a combination of the two. With that all said, this device might be a "better fit" specifically for YOU, but that is subjective, and being objective it is not true for a larger sample of people.

Can xiaomi make 12s Ultra and sell it for €450?
      No.

      That is what they mean.

no charger in the box is not acceptable man.....specially when likes of realme and others are already providing 150w fast chargers in the box. reason for not giving charger in the box is lame as anything..

Darknoor, 23 Jul 2022Xiaomi has gained trust and despite the software has incred... moreI'm not arguing that this is a better phone overall but the overall hardware is probably slightly better than the Xiaomi 12 lite for the same price. The imx 766 is a better sensor (also has OIS) than the hm2. The jn1 ultrawide is definitely better than the 8mp one and the 778+ is slightly ahead of the 778. They are using similar hardware overall though. If I was buying a phone, I'd also go for a Xiaomi phone over a Nothing one due to the brand being more established as you mention and easier access to service points. However, remember these companies are all buying the hardware off the same suppliers and the Nothing phone is manufactured by the same company as Xiaomi uses for many of their phones too (BYD) so there is no real hardware advantage for Xiaomi. The main advantage is they are more established in terms of software and support.

I can't believe the launcher isn't mentioned as a weak point, when it's in fact the biggest piece of garbage ever to be called a launcher in the history of smart phones.

What on Earth were you thinking?!

Anything that gets too much hype is hated, it is only natural.

Why only a 460 nits screen? 😔 Anything below 500 is not a bright screen, it's annoying

What does this have? Nothing. No pun intended.

Kangal, 23 Jul 2022I like how GSMArena team finally had the courage to compare... moreWhere is the Galaxy A52s for €250?

AnonD-454049, 23 Jul 2022> you can't make a €450 flagship in 2022 i wonde... moreLike what though? The Xiaomi 12 lite with snapdragon 778 is €450 for the base 128gb variant in Europe . The Xiaomi 12 which is their entry level flagship is €750 in Germany and Spain for the base variant after a price cut.

Not a bad release for a first phone. The pricing in Europe is the same as the Xiaomi 12 lite so it is competitive. Very similar hardware. Similar chip, similar screens. The mi 12 lite has faster charging but the Nothing has better camera hardware and wireless charging. Can't really expect them to undercut the competition especially given component costs are always higher for smaller brands. Not outstanding value or anything but still very competitive

It would be even worst by some other similarly priced.
Pixel 6a would be around 4xls quality too (same sensor improved Chip) .
Pixel 6 has 550 minimum and yes it's beyond it's price on camera.

And good lightweight and stock os without bloatware.

Find other phones in this price range with those feature

I like how the biggest complaint is the one that can be improved with software updates which is the camera, the hardware is good so it underperforming is a software issue which can be improved. Everything else is pretty good for a phone if it’s price. Better processor than a53, better screen that iPhone SE, pixel and Nord 2t. Not sure how it compares to equivalent Xiaomi and oppo phones as their not as big where I am and there lineups are abit confusing. Overall seems like a pretty good phone at a pretty good price, hopefully the camera is improved with updates
