casualtechenthusiast, 24 Jul 2022I agree that this phone wasn't made for gamers but why... moreThere's another one. They claim a wonderful screen, yet in their tests they claim 650 nits max auto brightness. Thats terrible outdoors for an amoled in 2022. Not wonderful.

Aierlan, 23 Jul 2022Yeah, byd electronics, a spinoff company from BYD. Actually... moreGood for them.
The car we got at 2015 was so ad even for a Chinese car (knowing Cherry and Geely existed) but really, good for them!

That's one thing that makes this review not as unbiased as it should have been (in response to your claim that the review is not biased).
I searched this website for phones €450 (and under) with 4K@60fps that came out 2021 until today here:

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2022Yes there aren't graphic options mentioned for any tit... morePoco f4 and gt neo 3t in a lower price segment, gt neo 3 in the same price segment, all have 4k 60. Yes and all have faster processors, neo 3 like this years flagships. Ah yes, and all have much better screens, especially poco f4. And all charge at least three times faster, Gt neo 3 has 150w charging, five times faster than nothing phone. Should I keep going on? The only thing going for the nothing phone are the symmetrical bezels and wireless charging, though who needs that when it's slow. But if you like the phone, get it. Always get what you like. Just know, it's far from the best.

For casual gamers, this will run just fine at medium graphics. As for the lack of 4k60, I didn't find any phones that can do that in the same price segment. Maybe can you find any and let me know, please?

Tommy, 23 Jul 2022I am not a fan of this phone but I have to say: those night... moreI own a Galaxy S21 FE SD888. Got it heavily discounted - cheaper than Nothing phone. And it makes outstanding, flagship level photos including proper zoom camera. So apart from unremarkable design, S21FE is better in every single way

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2022this particular review on GSMA was not biased at all. The y... moreWhat I find a little biased is how the reviewers downplay the shortcomings of this phone or even straight up not address it at all.
Like in the performance section, when it comes to the CPU, they were basically shouting from the rooftops how it's so close to former flagship chipset but on the GPU when it was clearly lagging behind, they just euphemised and said that it is "adequate" and "perfectly capable of playing all sorts of games with high-quality graphics" without mentioning any objective date like what games and what settings they actually ran on their test for that claim. It's very dismissive of people who actually play demanding titles. An unbiased review would be more acknowledging and say that even though the GPU is not as powerful, casual gamers would find it adequate but those needing more would have to look elsewhere. Instead, they just acted like it should be enough for everyone. It wasn't listed in the Cons that other phones in the same price range have better chipset (SD870 and D8100).
Also, for a phone with focus on the camera, it wasn't brought up that it's not capable of 4k@60fps (due to choice of chipset). It wasn't listed in the Cons when other phones in the same price (or even cheaper) are capable of that.
Another thing not listed in the Cons is the limited storage (only up to 256gb) without any option for expanded microSD storage like other phones have.
This phone has a set of features that others in the same price range doesn't but not without tradeoffs. The reviewers were so keen on mentioning its pros (which aren't even universal pros like the glyph interface that some will just turn off or the snappy android interpretation which isn't as feature rich as other more heavily skinned UI which others prefer) but omitted some of the cons. I understand how some liked this phone after reading the review because the review was actually written more like an advertisement, repeating the same praises all throughout while glossing over its shortcomings.
The phone has its merits and would be ideal for some but the review could've been more objective.

I don't agree with the conclusion. This definitely seems to be a solid phone, but Galaxy A52s is evenly matched or better in all aspects (apart from the buggy OneUI of course), and cheaper by 170 USD.
Realme GT Neo 3T's tried-and-true Color OS is arguably an advantage over stock-ish but very future-uncertain Glyph UI, not to mention the "cooler design and features" part of the editors' comment seems more like a reflection of their own preferences rather than the presentation of facts.
A great way to start the journey for Nothing, but this one has quite a few edges that need to be ironed out in the future software update or on Phone 2.

507AMS, 23 Jul 2022only in India Xiaomi has builded 9 factories in less than 1... moreThat article you cited isn't about India at all. It's about China. In India all their production facilities seem to be partnerships with other manufacturers e.g. Chinese manufacturers like BYD and DBG Ltd. These electronics manufacturers provide the manufacturing service for Xiaomi for smartphones in India i.e. Xiaomi doesn't manufacture them themselves.
https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/xiaomi-expands-manufacturing-capabilities-in-india-with-new-smartphone-smart-tv-hub-factories-7204760/
BYD is also one of Xiaomi's biggest suppliers in China. For example th Xiaomi 12s ultra and the rest of the 12s series are manufactured by BYD.
They do have one self operated manufacturing plant in China but it is only capable of manufacturing about a million smartphones a year (bear in mind that last year they shipped roughly 190 million smartphones so that is a very small amount) so almost all of their smartphones are manufactured by other companies who specialize in smartphone manufacture
https://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202008/12/WS5f339f44a31083481725fe00.html
They are building a big plant in Beijing currently though which will be capable of producing around 10 million smartphones a year. I think the plan is to manufacture some of their high end flagships at their own factory in Beijing in the future
