It's such a nice looking phone an feels Premium, but wait, i have to put it in a case and slap a display cover ontop right after unboxing until I sell it...premium gone

Plastic makes much more sens in all regards, lighter, more durable, cheaper etc. But they will never stop making glass phones, at least the high end ones, because they have arguments to charge more money like it's more premium, and the phones break down much easier with a full glass body.. bye ip68 rating, hello repair costs or dramatic value decrease...

I am really tempting to had another OP phones again after my OP 8T, but knowing that they removed the alert slider really is the last straw for me. It is a big deal? No. But it really removed the uniqueness of OP, after they unified both the ColorOS and OxygenOS is the day it losing my interest, why would I getting a OP device if the software is the same as OPPO? But at least the hardware device is still unique to their own (ie the Alert Slider). But with them removing that right now, I would rather go for OPPO if I wanted a ColorOS experience, and for their pro model, the price is almost as high as Samsung, Apple and Google, by paying that price I would rather go to that 3 company instead of OP.

yet another heavy phone with a fragile glass back which every reviewer wets his pants about but then says "you need to put it in a case" and / or "its a fingerprint magnet.

when will the industry move past you guys?

I ordered the OnePlus 10T as my third OnePlus phone (most recent was a 7T, which has been great). Had it running for two days when it failed -- basically rebooted into a black screen, could get it to reboot as often as I'd like, but not to do anything else. Tech support wasn't much help, but authorized return/replacement. Since then, pretty much a disaster:
                          (a) they wouldn't send out a replacement right away -- they said they have to receive the phone first. I pointed out they have (and could use) my credit card if I didn't return it. No luck, "have to follow the process."
                          (b) returned the phone (using their shipping label), it arrive there (according to UPS) 8 days ago; never heard a word from OnePlus. Contacted them three times since. First was "you have to give us 48-72 hours after the phone arrives." So I did. Second (after that 72 hours) said that they still hadn't verified the returned device, and try again in a day or two. At that point I said if they couldn't ship the next day, just return the phone for a refund. Oh, they can't do that -- they have to "follow the process." No contact for two days. Third contact -- we need 24-48 more hours. I say "just cancel it" -- they say, that will take going to another team which will get back to you in 24-48 hours. That was 3 days ago, with no contact of course. After that, I contacted American Express to dispute the charge and get their help.
                          (c) In the meantime, they have my trade-in (thankfully I still have a back-up phone) -- and they won't return that. They say if I return this phone the trade in will become a future credit (like I'm ever spending a penny on that company again!).
                          (c) OnePlus has changed. I had a defective phone from them years ago. They sent one out the same day overnight. Clearly they're not the company they once were, and I would warn everyone away from it, even if you're like me -- not looking for anything other than a reasonably-priced phone with close to vanilla Android. I guess I'm probably going
                          back to Google Pixel.

However you would think when people spend between $650-$800 that they would be careful with their phone to not accidentally put it between their two hands, and bend it in half.

Do not buy this if possible please please. I bought this phone expecting decent performance. Battery drains like crazy even without any usage, service was very bad when the issue was reported. I got the phone replaced but same issue in new one, in fact its even worse. There is lag, poor quality, battery charge takes long time even when its ultra fast mode. Please go for some other option
