    Dont you think it is better to at least spend time on who has studied and worked with it instead of ppl that suddenly decide to be youtuber and review devices by saying the obvious info that even the phone's box already show?

    On another day here was a post on reddit ( on r/android) someone that had recently got zenfone 9. Person called a famous youtuber "God and Saviour". 🤦🏻‍♂️ ..

    Before saying super high res on phones is useful, try to see the photos on those pro monitors brands like Apple, Dell, Asus, Benq make for ppl that work with images.
    Do not use TV. They are miles behind in quality. Not even better than current phones.

    You can see how unable to handle high resolution small sensors are. You can also keep believing plastic lenses that do not even cost $10 are on pair with those glasses that cost thousands of dollars.

    You know, if plastic was any near quality of glass, I guess you agree that it would be used to make lenses lighter, smaller and way cheaper. I suppose you know some lenses cost over $10.000 (not even the ones from Leica yet) and majority of them cannot even deal with 50MP, reason new generations of them are made.

    Anyway, as said before. It has been weeks since I've heard 14 pro max was not better than 13 pro max despite the 60% size increase.

    Good thing is the fact now Apple is trying to make photos less fake (still huge job to reach there) . This means samsung will be doing same in the future because Apple is. Then tech media like Verge, Android Authority and some youtubers will suddenly start to love new approach.

    Everybody wins ... 😁

      Two of the "new" features are software and one is firmware. The "new" processor is a plus model of last year's, so... The 4.5/5 rating is classic RDF.

                    I know it isn't the Pro Max, but I still was expecting a better battery life, for some reason. Huh. So when I switch from Android to an iPhone, it will have to be a Pro Max.

                      Everybody says 5 years because it is easy to remember, half a decade. But only 3 of them actually got exactly 5 years, the 4S, the 5 and the 6. Later ones got more (6-7 years) and earlier ones got less (3-4 years). The trend is getting more years over time, but it‘s not as clear cut as the semi-professional reviewers picture it.

                        Anonymous, 24 Sep 2022I don't know what GSMarena is on about, those "RA... moreApple's Photo app processes ProRAW images automatically in a way that they will look identical to the straight-out-of-the-camera JPEGs when they get exported. If you want to get rid of clarity boost and some other undesirable processing, you need to use Lightroom or other photo editing software to manually turn off Apple ProRAW tone mapping metadata and set the sharpening & noise reduction sliders to 0.

                        Unfortunately, some sharpening and noise reduction are already baked into the file itself so you can't disable them completely (which is ridiculous IMO), but at least with Lightroom you'll end up with something that looks more natural than whatever GSMArena is showing us as "ProRAW" samples.

                            I don't know what GSMarena is on about, those "RAW" don't look RAW at all and looks just about as sharpened as default ones, even after downscaling to 12mp. Whoever wrote this article needs to put glasses on. It's nowhere near the improvement seen on some other reviews. Hardly "class leading", just average.
                            At least on Android we can use GCam ports and dial sharpening all the way down.

                                I saw Tony's iPhone 14 Pro video a while ago and I was laughing out of my a**. Seriously I was genuinely surprised by simply how wrong he is and how he keeps missing a mark. Being a photographer doesn't guarantee one to be the most technologically intellectual individual, and his video clearly showed me that.

To me, this punch hole doesn't look any worse or better than the notch all things considered. It's lower, but at the same time, also narrower; and personally I don't particularly mind how low or high the pill (or the punch hole) sits within the notification bar because I never watch a 21:9 video on a phone anyway.

                                      Everyone knows this, in fact that's the entire point of DI - it *distracts* us from the fact that the cutout exists by creating an entire set of features and animations around it. And yet, the visual trick still seems to be working well for many reviewers.
