Lin , 27 Sep 2022Nothings special, but waiting for 2023 Iphone 15..But the regular iPhone 15 will be the same, except having the A16 chip, while the 15 Pro models have the A17 lmao.

If ... moreWhilst would agree it wouldn't have hurt Apples case to have included at least a 90hz display, just to match the rest of the market and differentiating a spec point from the previous model, if for no other real practical benefit. Your comment about people being blind if they cannot notice a difference is absolutely ridiculous.

I barely notice the full 120hz dude, so much so that I disabled it on my 13 Pro, and same again here on the 14 Pro, reason being is I would rather take the minuscule increase in battery life over the minuscule increase in visual smoothness I was able to perceive.

I am far from blind though dude, as an example I am able to read your total BS without issue

blue, 27 Sep 2022Because it's not neccessary.Correction: It's not good for Apple's annual bottomline if users taking longer time to replace battery. Battery degradation has bigger impact on lower capacity batteries, meaning they will drop faster to the magical 79% battery health which is when Apple will advise user to replace their code-locked battery at the authorised center at a premium cost.

Exactly what to expect from the resident worshipper other than excuses after excuses to justify everything Apple does. Its even believable that SShock mentioned Apple in his prayers. "Oh, Lord Jobs, please let this day be another day I enjoy your creations. Apple."

Yes, it does. If you dont see the difference then you are blind. Also 60Hz display on 1000 USD phone (price of vanilla 14 where I live) is just inexcusable.

No. No one is diddling settings menu up and down 8 hours every day going "oh that's smooth" while rolling eyes backwards. No one does that but reviewers, for 10 seconds and then the thing is over. I use 144Hz on my PC for years now and I couldn't care less about this on my phone. High refresh is a nice to have, but not something I'd absolutely demand. People often fall in the "I demand more specs for the money" rabbit hole, but screen refresh is not really high on priority and people often just harp about this and dismiss bunch of things iPhones are really amazing with that I personally value way more, like absolutely outstanding speakers and Taptic Engine that are just unmatched by any competition and it's something super consistent. Buy any iPhone and you're guaranteed to have these two perform with excellence. Something so may phones really done terribly in between series for absolutely no logical reason. But you can't quantify them. Like, what review measures Taptic Engine forces? Or really measure speakers? Most just throw around subjective remarks like "full bass" or "very loud" or "full frequency range". It's just not something anyone can or will brag about with big numbers on paper and we all love Android fans love that stuff. bigger is always better, even if they don't understand any of it.

As for the higher prices, look at the crazy high VAT and other taxes, and sometimes even gouging by non-Apple retailers who see higher demand for Apple products and rely on it to sell enough.

Price in Europe it's a big Con

                          Us price 799$ okay
Iphone 14 manufactured in India 982$ for base model....why???

[deleted post]So you're saying that people should willingly let themselves be a victim of highway robbery first before they are allowed to call out a company's blatant anti-consumer decisions?

60Hz in itself is not the issue. It's how much smaller the upgrades are (plus the older chipset) on the regular iPhone compared to the Pro variants (while both retaining their prices) that's making the regular iPhone look like a total rip-off.

Per cons, there's "Wider feature gap with the 14 Pro" while the price gap remains the same. How is that fair to the regular iPhone and its buyers? It shouldn't cost this much or Apple should have added more features for this price.

But ignoring really high PPI and one of best color accuracy of any display in the market. But none of that matters because 60Hz is somehow so much important it invalidates everything else. Huh?

I mean, it is not "bad" at all, what is bad is the crazy price and screen for the price, rating it 4 stars is just madman, i would give this 3.5 as maximum, no more...

It has last years Apple A15, last year Iphone 13 Pro camera ( without zoom ), 60hz screen... And they are asking for it a whopping 940€ in europe and 930chf in switzerland....

I mean, not saying is a bad phone but for this price an android equivalent like Xiaomi 12 Pro, Vivo X80 or similars give a lot more for each buck, and do not come saying IOS, because these days any phone just works well, got a VIVO X80 Pro and runs hell smooth no issues in two months and camera is flawless.

Meanwhile this iphone still has the annoying night flares with poster lights, candle lights and everything that has lights.

                                      GGWP.

                                        "Apple iPhone 13s review".
For someone having iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, definitely not worth it.
For someone coming from older iPhones, Apple still sells iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini at cheaper prices. Better options in my opinion.
I think the only reason someone will pick the iPhone 14 over the iPhone 13 (at this prices), is if he/she thinks about longevity of software updates (being that iPhone 14 is a newer model). But, taking into consideration that both are powered by similar chipsets, I am guessing that software support will finish for both of them in the same year (probably 5-6 years from now).
