You can't fix that without rooting. Last year Google made the whole microSd proxied. New permission "Allow management of all files" can bypass the proxy but Google doesn't allow it in Play Store.

        Google wants phones to have no more than 256GB because they sell cloud storage. They're playing a dirty trick to make microSd cards seem slow.

        The solution is to use non-Play Store apps, grant the magic permission, and select a storage directory outside of /Android. Then it's full speed. Hundreds of MB/sec, thousands of IOPS/sec.

            There's no point releasing modern Google software with a microSD slot unless you have the software engineering power to undo Google's efforts to turn Around into a dumber version of iOS. My Xperia 1 III just reboots if Play Store apps use its 1 TB card. Apps have to come from a different store that allows the older API.

                Android made by Google is just playing catch up with anything everyone is doing, implementing features that Xiaomi & co already had.
                Not to forget what mess google is doing everytime they update Android.
                The only thinsg that Google can be praised is for Maps and the photo processing.

                          Had a Huawei in 2019, very high quality for low price. But nowdays without Google Services and no 5G, they have zero chance out of China. Too bad.

                              To gsmarena, if screen has over 900 nits and more than 90Hz, it is already excellent.
                              The other parameters are not important I see.

                              Anyway, near €800 for this? As offensive as the €1150 tag of iphone 14+.

                                  A very good phone,with awesome camera

                                    just out of curiosity: since it comes with sd which is regarded well supported. does the lack it gp store mean anything? i mean were the previous similarly themed (hw combo) devices prevented from having them in aftermarket roms? despite the lack of official support, provided the hw was current, did any or most of past post sanction devices became a stable daily driver? or were they utterly prevented from running them well? just as in most cases with aftermarket roms: even if they become stable some feature always somehow gets lost either by not being able to iron it out, or it not being a priority feature...

                                    provided the issue around GP store and services get sorted: would it not be a potent device?
