In my case with owning their products in the past - when you need their technical support, they simply won't answer or reply. Had multiple issues with a TV and also their top-of-the-line AV-amplifier. Never got a call from them, never got replies to my multiple emails.

Never again. Not worth the extra price, while their products perform similarly or slightly worse than rivaling options do. Definitely a unique experience, never had a company flat-out not help with issues, not even try.

User, 26 Nov 2022Plz explain your problemsFaulty motherboard, charging system, battery -led to poor SOT (even slightly worse than what the reviewer described), laggy and stuttery UI experience, slow charging time with the dedicated 45w Samsung charger, overheating even while watching YouTube, poor main cam performance. All the parts were replaced with new ones. All fine now except The battery life still isn't amazing even with new battery, 2 factory resets and Android 13. All in all, I'm much happier with my s21u, s22u was handed to my parent

My man be looking like Drake holding a galaxy S22 Ultra

now, where are those people!? the hypocrites

Samsung , like LG should retire from the smartphone segment

            [deleted post]Agreed.
One of the things people don't realise is the experience using a Sony. They don't try to cheat, it's more straightforward and honest. For one thing, Apps scale better in either 16:9 or 21:9... you either get a more compact phone, or the extra space gets used up more intelligently. A 17:9 display is pretty good too, and 20:9 isn't that great, but anything in-between (17.5 - 19.5) is an unoptimised mess.

I feel like if Apple decides toetc etc.go the route of 21:9 the first to know will be their panel provider Samsung, and the following year we will get the Galaxy S-lineup with 21:9 displays. And all these reviewers will say how awesome it is, and all the blind fanboys will agree. Yet no-one will commend Sony for doing it years before everyone else.

We saw the same thing with other things like Ultrawide Cameras, Periscope Cameras, Notches, Fast Charging, etc etc. Someone innovates and people are critical, then the mainstream players adopt it, and suddenly it's the bees knees.

[deleted post]did you even read the review?
the author said S22 Ultra was the most sluggish flagship prior to One UI 5 update.

I went on an Everest Base camp trek.
My S22 performed flawlessly over 3 weeks in a very challenging environment.
It captured some truely epic shots, it's zoom was a total game changer.
It made the iPhone users and some DSLR users question their purchases.
The Snapdragon performance was stellar. The S pen was just a joy.
My best phone investment to date.

I still owe mine almost since its release. Didn't have any reason to switch it, and I won't need a Galaxy S23 Ultra either. It already performs great at everything

This is the best all around smartphone.... Period
That you don't agree doesn't mean it isn't
You can go buy your Sony with a headphone jack, SD card slot and a kitchen sink 😂😂😂

S22 Ultra looks so mich worse than both the S21 Ultra and Note20 Ultra.

This is the most positive long-term review I've read on GSMArena. Ironic, for a phone which caused me nothing but trouble.
P.S. the battery life reviewer described is far from impressive (and I had the same experience).

If you want to talk objectively, I can give you that.

OBJECTIVELY an expensive purchase displacing another expensive purchase is a good thing, it saves you money and makes the device you spent premium cash on a more versatile package in having a headphone jack. OBJECTIVELY SD cards are not dead. There are devices being released in 2022 which can take advantage of the standard, and there are new SD cards being released, such as a 1.5TB one released earlier this year. MicroSD cards are also fast enough for shooting in 4K 60FPS, which is really convenient for something you can pop out and pop into an editing machine easily. OBJECTIVELY Motorola offers a comparable active pen experience to Samsung, and there's not much you can do on a Samsung that you can't also do on a Motorola just as well if not better. OBJECTIVELY Sony makes performance phones which can also keep up with Samsung in cameras, display, speakers, performance, and battery life. OBJECTIVELY Samsung phones aren't scientifically better than any other android phone, and they certainly aren't the best in all categories. Need I go on? If it works for you, great. I'm not judging your purchase. But, don't make claims about something being the best in a product category where there is no one size fits all, because every user has unique needs and priorities.
