Tech journos need to drill into their heads most people don't upgrade every year. Tell us how good the camera is, not how it's similar to last year, almost everyone looking to buy a S23 base will come from older devices..

Can't expect major innovations when the world just semi-recovered from a worldwide epidemic. Besides, mobile technology have plateaued for a long time now.

I for one am rather happy the Galaxy flagships finally caught up with iPhones. Pretty much in equal grounds in terms of SOC performance, selfie + video capture quality and battery life - something iPhones have had the edge in for years.

Can you confirm guys that the Ultra uses the E6 AMOLED display?

I am long term S user and this is disappointing. Will keep my S20 for another year.

Why should I buy? To get more storage? My S10+ has a 128+ 512Gb SD card. To get more RAM? 8Gb in S10+, 8Gb in S23+. Oh, and QHD in S10 vs FHD in S23+. And nice curved edges. And photos are good (s23+ is also not DSLR:). Battery still ok. And Snapdragon... i have already inside S10+:) I wait one more year.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2023Not including the cable is also an environmentally minded r... moreRight from ec eurpoa:

                  > Will the cable continue to be sold with the device?

                  > While consumers will be able to choose whether to buy an electronic device with or without a charger, the purchased devices can still be sold with a cable in the box. Cables have other uses other than charging: they can be used to transfer data, and they can be used to directly charge in certain circumstances (for instance in a hotel, in a train, in an airport). According to the ‘Impact Assessment Study to Assess Unbundling of Chargers', users still find it useful to find a cable in the box as it is the component that tends to break more often. In addition, cables require far less resources, produce less greenhouse emissions and generate less e-waste than the external power supply.

                  So two things:
                  - Samsung doesn't present any choice to customer about choosing charger with package.
                  - There is no such thing as "mandatory exclusion of cable from package" as you insinuated in your message unless you read some other source.

niklex, 04 Feb 2023Upgrade? No, I'm still with my S10+. But seriously, if... moreLast year I warned that the S22 would have poor battery life especially in the exynos version.

This year I'm absolutely certain the S23 will have better battery life than the S22 (QSd), & much better than the S22 (Exynos).

                      3 reasons why:

                      1) The S23 series comes with the superior Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset (for Galaxy (SM8550-AC)) globally, which is better than last years QSd 8 Gen1, & much better than the Exynos in performance & efficiency.

                      2) S23 now has a vapour chamber for better thermal management (the S22 just had graphite pads).

                      3) Bigger battery: 3,700 +200mAh= 3,900mAh.
