sohail shafayat, 07 Feb 2023Sony IMX890 seems to be a rebranded Sony IMX766Basically with just support for up to 30 frames/s full resolution output added. The imx766, imx800 and imx890 are all more or less the same. Although the imx800 is a small bit larger the full sensor size hasn't been used on the honor and Xiaomi phones that use it so the effective size is the same as the imx766 and imx890.

    Gsmarena again In the same paragraph:

    "This layer is paired with another 5,673mm2 graphene sheet. Interestingly, OnePlus says it used a dedicated crystalline-graphene sheet for the display as well to improve overall heat dissipation."

    So which is it? is it just standard or is it actually unique enough .. either way classic gsmarena an opportunity arises to test something relatively unique...

    What will gsmarena review do:

    A) give away free money to users on the website

    B) consider using or investing in a thermal gun/thermal imaging to measure the temperature of the screen after heavy gaming

    C) improve their ultra entry level smartphone review catalogue

    D) ignore it, just mention it in the review and give us the same old stability benchmark test all while later on pointing the finger at manufacturers for barely improving their products while ironically not improving their own review format

        Any chance OnePlus 11R will be ~$400? Because that's one hell of a price for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 5000 mAh + 100W charging. Otherwise Pixel 7a will be the only good choice in that price range.

          I am happy with my OnePlus 8 Pro 😊
          Have to say goodbye to OnePlus because this brand is pretty much done to me. Time to settle somewhere else now. 🥲🫡
          Probably I'll switch to ios from android. Agree to disagree, Apple's ecosystem is the best and more polished.

            2x optical zoom only ? too expensive in west might aswell buy pixel 7 pro

                a Sony imx709 32MP Telephoto sensor to do just 2x zoom?
                a 16MP front sensor again
                Wasn't it easier front sensor 32MP and Telephoto 16MP?

                  I dunno something about the photos make me feel uneasy

                  There is a kinda depressing feeling and it looks artificial maybe it's too sharp? I can't say why

                  Look at how the palm leaves look.. I'm guessing that light hitting the leaves but why does it look like someone put baby powder on them

                    Oh no, this is not good, i was waiting for this phone, but this camera is big dissapointing. These night photos are oversharpened, blurry oilpanted garbage, really ugly :/

                    So im waiting Vivo X90 Pro.

                      I really want to like this phone because of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and the camera hardware, but USB-C 2.0 without wired video output and no 4K/120fps video recording support? No thanks, I stick with the 10 Pro. It's a shame that there won't be a Pro version of the OnePlus 11 in existence.
