I'm surprised that the S23 has so much better battery life compared to the S22 with just a 200mah difference. Guess the Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset is really efficient, especially with the increased clock speed tailored to S23 lineup.

I've used many Galaxy S phones and it's a bit disappointing to see that the heat problem is still present. I used the S21 before and it never seemed to get hot. Probably because the plastic back conducts less heat than glass back though. Anyway, hope Samsung can fix this in the S24 series.

The S23 has the same boxy, squared edges design, similar to the S22 and although that makes it look better, it makes for a very uncomfortable grip compared to the S21, even though it's a little bit bigger and thicker than the S22. This is not just any "minor inconvenience" that non-users would assume to be frustrating but, in reality, won't matter once they start using it for a while. An obvious example is the crease on the Z series, non-users find that sh*tty but most of them stop noticing it after 1 or 2 weeks of using. Anyway, back to the grip problem, it is indeed uncomfortable to hold, especially for people with small hands like me, and this is not something users can get used to.

Upgrading from my OnePlus 9R to S23. Pre booked it for INR 47000, after exchange amount and bank discount. Getting the 256GB model at the price of 128GB.

A.C, 09 Feb 2023Great base S phone this year to be fair, the size is still ... moreLet see it in real life. What will be the screen on time it will be confirmed by different reviewers. Otherwise Samsung is always worst in battery timing and charging speed, you can only get 100% battery health till 1 year luckily otherwise it start creating problems with battery timing, Samsung can never be approximately nice in battery timing,

Great base S phone this year to be fair, the size is still compact, performance also seems to be really good and the battery has really improved.

Wongwatt, 09 Feb 2023I really, really wish Samsung would sell a version of this ... moreOther skins are equally as "cartoonish" as One UI. Except, One UI doesn't ruin the experience with unwanted ads. The features they add are actually polished and work properly.

Have you seen iQOO's skin? They literally have ads for p*rn ads on their own App Store. And you compare One UI to the Chinese skins? Lol.

I really, really wish Samsung would sell a version of this phone without all their pointless bloat. The hardware is absolutely perfect for me but I simply can't get on with their needless fiddling, duplicate uninstallable apps and childish cartoon look.
Every time I think about vomitting to a Galaxy phone I remember it will annoy me before I finish paying for it and stop.
It's absolutely mind boggling that this review details all the "amazing" extras in OneUI that would be dismissed as "bloat" on any review of a Chinese device - why do Samsung get a free pass on this nonsense?

The S22 was a nearly perfect smartphone, the drawback was battery life due to inefficient chipset. With the S23 samsung has worked on the battery and efficiency. As a result it outperforms its rivals including the iphone 14 pro.

I know most people are looking for a big leap forward but samsung does not need it, the S23 is fantastic thanks to that new sweet chipset. Even the cameras are performing so much better.

I like how it always copies iPhone exact size, hehe

                                    Waiting for the s23+ review

Base on gsm reviews, S23 has better battery life than 12T Pro. Is this 100% correct?
