    It would also explain why the A546B owner in the sub-reddit is getting 500 MBps speeds, because they probably haven't yet installed the update.

    It also explains why the A546E is getting 500 MBps speeds since it still didn't get any firmware updates, and hence the UFS storage remains 'unoptimised'.

    This is all pure speculation, so take it with a grain of salt. I could be very wrong in this regard.

Hence why they are getting UFS 2.2 speeds. This can probably be fixed by software updates. In fact, Samsung just rolled out a software update 10 days ago

      Note that only the A546B got this update. Meaning that the UFS 3.1 in the A546B got optimised whereas the one in the A546E's is still unoptimised since it didn't get updated.

          Some mistake... but what if the case is as mentioned below yet. I mean both speeds used for one model version would explain it. (tho I don't like such explanation)

Not everyone wants a phone with the best processor, some people want a overall good phone with a great display, good durable build, a good camera, good speakers, and great software support. Some people use their devices more for making calls, taking photos and watching media. That is this device target audience, people who don't need the best processor, but need an overall good, reliable smartphone.

                              For the camera, compared to A52s, the pixel size is 25% larger, but it has 28% fewer total pixels. The sensor size improvement is very small here. Plus GCam don't get ported to Exynos. And if it is like the A53, you won't get RAW capture capability. So you're stuck with the Samsung camera pretty much.

They can have the initial batch of production to be 3.1 and later batches 2.2, or use 2.2 in different regions. Flash manufacturers like to bait and switch. I can't count how many times they switch from TLC to QLC and change flash controllers after sales started without changing model number because by not specifying the specification they can do whatever they want.

                                  Many will soon have SM-A546B so it won't take long to confirm. Anyway customer should learn this without effort before buy... weird.
