vrvly, 29 Apr 2023Lens problem causing soft petals feels like lens softness w... moreThe lens has a shallow depth of field so obviously the petals look out of focus. That's the whole point of having a dual aperture mechanism to begin with, if you don't like having more blurs then use F4.0 instead.

Hopefully the coverted local price is good enough because apple cost around 2k out of america while Samsung also become too premium for gimmicky with 200mp, 8k video but blurry image and bad color in low light. Pixel is just not available officially here and the imported version is void of any warranty with the same awful pricing like apple.

Lens problem causing soft petals feels like lens softness which is basically poor lens. It's present not only on (probably all) phone cameras but on some full size camera lens when wide open too.
Getting sharp detail with great natural bokeh is not easy.
Besides that, 50mp feels worse than 50mp from s23u's 200mp camera(looking at the pattern detail), basically, its the limit the 50mp can do, on any brand.
The rest of sharpness can be then raised by better lens. Great to confirm that again.

Look at the shadow the top flower cast on the bottom flower. The flower petals actually has a lot of definition and textures.
Clipping may have been the wrong word, so crushed highlight details?

If anything, those petals could've been a tad brighter for the sake of making them look more lifelike and the image more balanced in terms of overall exposure.

It provides best user experience for long term use. And for security concern, you don’t have to worry about that. Also, you can easily sync all apple products simultaneously without interrupting your work. This is the main reason people go for Apple products.

It's not as if it oack features and it is a specialized phone. It basically maxed everything (except FFC). Unless you mean that the substandard FFC makes it "not for general population". Very inconsistent with highlights rendering it seems. The Vivos definitely are more consistent and mature overall.

Highlights are clipped on the flower petals here, which shouldn't have been an issue on a 2023 flagship.
Processing of both telephoto lenses are also off. Sometimes over-sharpened, sometimes noisy. I would say they messed up a bit this time.
Regarding f1.9 and f4.0, you guys should have posted samples of something flat or in the same focal plane to let us know if it stopping down increases sharpness. All the examples only showcase the depth of field difference. The quality of the corners of an image increases significantly when stopped down. Corners of all images are in different focal plane here and cannot be judged.

The image quality looks impressive. 🔥
Maybe the display is not as great as Samsung's latest panel, but the overall impression is pretty good. The frame structure is very convincing considering the camera bump or the space it requires for camera setup. Solid build quality. Moreover, the price is lower than iPhone or Samsung. So yeah, it's a good deal. 👌

It's nothing mindblowing, and I've seen the Find X6 and the X90 Pro take better photos overall, and they're both cheaper than this. And let's NOT forget about the biggest elephant in the room MIUI. I don't care how "good" the cameras are, Xiaomi's software is literally the worst on the market and they still haven't done a thing to address it. Anyone who says "MIUI iS StAblE, tHeRE ArE No BuGs!1!" is delusional.
