Could also be partly heating. According to nearly all Chinese reviews I've seen the Xiaomi 13 pro runs cooler. Gsmarena doesn't seem to measure actual temperatures but they mention that the 'Xiaomi 13 ultra heats uo significantly but doesn't get so hot that you can't hold it' whereas the Xiaomi 13 pro just gets 'quite warm'. It's a pity they don't measure actual temperatures though rather than giving us this vague language

That ultrawide is straight down unusable. What's a purpose of that super distorted image or video?
Main camera super oversharpens video in high frequency parts of the frame. And it oversaturates. It makes up the color of the sky and grass as usual with any scene recognition.
Colors are still ridiculously posterized in vivid mode. JOY gray brick building looks like graphic design project as luminance is all leveled out.

50mp shots look upscaled version of 12mp ones. it sucks
50mp photos of 12t pro is much better

China company are really doing a great job and we need more country in this tech businesses ,where is world power country like france,england,Russia this should not be fight between china,american and the korean alone,we need more country and African where are you please join this tech business let feel new Tech and please give this xiaomi company a standing salute well done

I do not like the authentic Leica mode with that horrible vignetting. The zoomed images look a tad noisy, main camera looks no better or worse than detail from other cameras. Notice horrible purple lens flare on one of the night shots too. Overall it's not as amazing as I expected and certainly doesn't beat a DSLR

Generally impressive rear cameras, however all portrait photos have unnatural rendition of faces - all of them are fairly poor and comic book like to my eye. And the front facing camera, as always with Xiaomi, is complete pants for both stills and videos. These are areas the S23U doesn't mess up, plus substantially better battery life (but slower charging).
Further, and this is clearly subjective, it's downright ugly vs the rather elegant S23U that wears its substantial dimensions and weight more lightly.

4,8 is too high.. I dont know why so high score lately
1) finally usb c 3.2, but cable shipped is 2.0 speed
2) no PD compatibility, gonna cap to 30W if charger is not xiaomi
3) glass on front is 2 generations behind
4) leather is not same faux leather used for clothing
5) weight distribuition is not good, too is too heavy compared to lower half
6) not gonna get monthly patches
7) no android 14 before late december

Gladly leica vibrant mode has been fixed.
12s ultra was an abomination.
It should just punch colors, not ruin photo quality like last year.
