    no headphone 3.5mm jack?

Anonymous, 10 May 2023Who buys Android tablets anyway ?Samsung's phones are overpriced. The quality is a faint glimmer of what it used to be. They seem to put more effort into the production of (the screens and chipsets and storage memory that they sell for literally any other company's devices) their tablets. For as long as I can recall, I'm neither very old or very young, Samsung has been the king of tabs. Many people, including myself, say Samsung's biggest mistake (next to copying the worst elements of Apple e.g. no earphones, no charger, etc.) was scrapping their line of phablets for the foldable nonsense that is their main focus now. These folding contraptions cannot count as tablets or phablets. They are a mutation, an abomination. They are freakish. iPads jumped the shark ages ago. They are just like Samsung's phones now: overpriced and underwhelming. I actually don't even know anyone that has an iPad anymore. But most people I know have no Apple device whatsoever, that may have something to do with it.

I like this tablet. Was worried about the MediaTek chip, since I've only ever had tabs with Snapdragons in them. But the processing power is decent, even comparable to the Gen 1 of the latest SDs. I have one big issue that I cannot seem to forgive: the stylus. OnePlus made a stylus that was supposed to work with this device specifically. It cost $99 extra (I paid for it and got the keyboard free cuz that was more expensive, but you can get the stylus free if you buy from them directly [don't kill me if that deal has ended; as of writing this it's still available]). I don't know what went wrong, if it's the software or a recent update or if the pen itself is buggy, or maybe even the screen...but something is very wrong. Firstly, it connects only through Bluetooth, not even a crummy dongle for it. But that's not the worst part. Or maybe it is related to the worst part. But every 5 or 10 minutes it just stops working, like it has to restart itself or reestablish the connection or something. I thought I could get over it, I really wanted to like this pen. But I cannot convey how irritated I get when it cuts off on its own yet again. And it doesn't work again until about a minute passes, maybe slightly less. I don't need to do anything to make it resume it's functionality, except be patient. Sadly, I lack an abundance of that. It sounds minor, but trust me, it's enough to make me put it down for a while and use my finger or an active stylus instead. I'm really disappointed, cuz I feel like this is an easy thing to fix and they are probably aware of it. Yet it goes unresolved every new update. Ah well...

Anonymous, 11 May 2023Literally 99% of tablets use LCD so good luck with that 1%This review is biased. See the review for the Xiaomi pad 6. Very similar specs.
But this charges twice as fast. Both use Android which is bad on this device but gets no comment on the Xiaomi.
The OnePlus has a bigger screen with more pixels.
But it's bad because it uses an LCD screen?
          Just compare their reviews.

Benchmark scores are lower I also use this device I got higher scores Geekbench Single - 1348, Multicore 4413.

            Antutu score - 98427.

I think you guys didn't turn on performance mode while testing.

Anonymous, 09 May 2023The biggest letdown is the lack of LTE or 5G in this. Where... moreIf your hometown can't even provide a decent wifi connection, I wouldn't fancy any device at all if I'm you.

Regarding iPad experience VS Android tablets is debatable, while I agree there are apps better developed for iPadOS I ever used Android tablets for years without issues. Last year I bought an iPad Pro for my daughter she need using Procreate, as Android user I'm still not getting used with iOs/iPadOS and its limitations, the multi-tasking management, the keyboard, I would definitely sell it and get a Samsung Tabs.

                    More than you think

but at 442 nits I am not sure if it will be any brighter them my old Samsung Tab S3 9.7
                        and worth the upgrade

Anonymous, 10 May 2023Lost me at LCD.That is not a real issue, the main problem is the flickering, display is constantly flickering at 60 Hz, it's like sitting under a neon light 40 years ago.
Thanks oneplus, but I don't want health issues, no matter the price

WebKit alone is enough to avoid iOS and iPad OS...
Tons of apps are compliant with Android's Pad...

In my opinion, major issues on OnePlus pad are :
                                      - no microSD support
                                      - USB 2.0 without video-out support

My 8T is very smooth with OOS13, but looks like they still are trying to recreate the constant stutter of OOS11! Damn you, OnePlus.
