"UI doesn't run smoothly", no problems with Samsung A23 5G, which has even less RAM and more blotware on OneUI.
Something wrong either with unit or some early problems, which been fixed for retail version.

Full flat display. NO HOLES AND NOTCHES on display. 3.5mm jack. Micro sd slot. No need pin to extract sim card. Dual front firing speakers. IP 68. Super long battery endurance. 1000 nits display. Triple camera setup with good camera capability. It's actually a super well balanced phone!

I get the CPU and 60hz are underwhelming but I feel the review deemphasized how good the battery life is. That matters way more to me than stutters. A

Suresh , 30 Jul 2023As far as I know Sony company will end in two or three year... moreIt's been years that the same thing has been said, even if Sony was smartisan. Sony has good markets around the world, sells well in Japan and the smartphone sector is a small percentage of the giant. It won't be a new LG.

I am owner of this phone and I think that the review is not fair enough.
Companies and users should think also about sustainable development in 2023 not just about having best of best in 2023 at all cost. Phones with better cpu and refresh rate consume more energy.
Good phone is not just about having newest features. Actually this kind of thinking accelerate our mass failure.
Sony 10 IV and V need to charge once in two days! For user, this mean running out of battery is history.
You pay for a product that last around 30% more time than competitors and require less frequent charging. What is the value of having more time to live rather than running after adapters, cables and electric sockets?
Given that the battery last very long, fast charging is not really needed. Good phone is not about stuffing things with all possible features. You charge it at night and it go for two days. And even half hour of charging would make it run probably similar to fast charging energy sucking phone. I hope to see reviews going beyond listing feature and just asking for more and more!.

For example, what's S, Z, A & M even means in Samsung series naming?
Sure, higher alphabet means better. You know that because you already did your research about it. Of course!
Then let me ask this, why M performs worse than A series if it's higher in alphabet?

As far as I know Sony company will end in two or three years. Phone designs are not stylish. Specifications are not changed. Why did Sony remove its own apps? Album app, video player, weather.

I dont give a shit on display refresh, but my 10-2 is stil capable of recording 4k/60, why next generations do not have it.

As much as I love the devices (And Sony in general), I think that Sony needs to sort out its naming scheme. We get the Xperia 1, then we get the 2? No, we got the 1 II. But I’m glad that they now have a great mid-range phone!

Even with the underpowered chipset the performance still sucks. Must be something about Sony, as even the Xperia 1V using SD 8 Gen2 throttles way harder than its rivals.

Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the display/screen? I. Know it has a diagonal of 6.1 inch but how wide is it? Body dimension is 68mm with bezels but I want to know width of the screen.

The display is too narrow. The Xperia 10 Line feels like a stretched Xz1 Compact (got 3 of those...). 21:9 is great for watching cinematic videos but for everything else it's not the best choice.
Then there is the price...450€. Sony is seriously asking 450€ for this device. 299€ would be okay

Also, don't use the phone for phone calls, use a proper landline so you won't have reception problems.

This 'review' seems like nonsense to me. The reviewer thinks that there are 'alternatives' and then goes on to list a bunch of phones that have nothing to do with this phone, and are all normal size 'huge' phones. Those aren't alternatives at all, they are called 'other phones'. Only the 6a might have been a true alternative phone. Furthermore, the reviewer clearly doesn't understand technology either, praising the battery life and then complaining about the processor and refresh rate.
The POINT of this phone IS 2x superior battery life to any other phone while still having a comparable weight to the iphone 13 mini. On top of that it even has ip68 rating. Do I wish they had a faster but EQUALLY power efficient chip as the qualcomm chip in this thing? Yes, but there doesnt appear to be one available, or else they would have put it in. Very few phones have the ability to 'disappear' in your pocket, only this phone and the iphone 13 mini it seems like. I have other more expensive android phones, but they don't do you any good when they have no battery or irritate you all day because they are too big. This is the BEST android phone you can buy today if you care about battery life and weight. And the other features are decent enough as well.
